No hurry, Hanni! Do your thing, private live is more important in these times. We're patiently waiting for the next version, we will find it once it's released :) Maybe a different language like english (if possible) but I I have no clue how the gibberish can be translated. :) In the meantime for me it's still "äppyut tupput hilijaleen". Love this part of the song and can't get it out of my head (in every version that exists)

I’ve been vaguely interested in Finland and Finnish things since I got into a couple of Finnish metal bands in High school back in the mid 2000s. Since then my interest has slowly grown as i discovered more and more ways Finland had impacted my life in Canada. Finally after I had to end an 8 year long relationship last March, I dove into learning the language, and discovered Ievan Polkka which helped carry me forward as I started to rebuild my life. I’ve been subscribed to your channel since then and love everything you do here. Kiitos kaikkia!

I do have one idea for future content. Not sure if you've done it already... but how about 4 of you singing in Finnish nature, countryside setting or even medieval castle maybe? Audio could be added as a separate track or live audio. I'm sure especially international viewers would love to see more of beautiful Finland. Perhaps with the help of The Finnish Cultural Foundation? Just an idea.

Easy idea is for you to react and analyze different renditions of ivan polka. Then make analysis videos of music from around the world. Pick a song (vocal or instrumental) that is very popular, and either play it in violin or some other instrument, or sing it yourself, or react and analyze it from your perspective. Songs from India, Latin America, America, middle east, korea etc.

I would personally love to hear about your considerations when combining playing the violin with singing. The voice and the violin are both great melodic instruments that are maybe not as versatile as other instruments like the guitar when accompanying, or are they? It would be really interesting to hear how you approach combining them. But that's just me, of course.

So it looks like a lot of the comments here are suggesting videos about Finnish culture, which I think would be amazing. Maybe you could also make videos about your favorite Finnish songs, why you like them, what’s the story behind them, etc. But ultimately, do whatever you enjoy. Also, don’t feel bad about keeping parts of your social media private. Boundaries are important and so is internet safety. I’m sure the majority of folks in this community are cool, but it never hurts to be cautious.

Bit of history for these traditional folk music styles from the Finnish folk musician perspective would be absolutely brilliant!

Help us learn about Finnish culture - like your musical culture, the history, the evolution, the folk influences, the general beat and rhythm structure and so on. Suppose tomorrow, I want to create a piece of music that I would want to describe as being uniquely Finnish, then what exactly should I focus on? Like, the type of instruments, the general ballad or stanza structure, any special scale, the general tempo and rhythm and so on. For instance, there are specific types of music that you can hear in Hollywood movies which you would immediately identify as being Indian so what are those unique Finnish attributes that mark your country's music?

I'm sure most don't have anywhere near as fascinating of a history behind the as Sakkijarven Polkka being used to jam Russian radio frequencies and disarm landmines in the Winter War, but I'm sure they all have insight to Finnish culture and history. Sakkijarven Polkka is actually the song that got me interested in Finnish culture in the first place. That, and a Finnish friend of mine whom I'd like to go see as soon as travel is more accessible.

I would love some Finnish language content, but I'm sure that's hard to put together.

you can start making tutorials for music in general , like the ones you teach your pupils. not strictly focus on ievan polka you might as well raise a fund-me page or something so you'll be able to afford without much fuss a professional editor, you'll notice miracles. best regards
