Фильм және анимация

I show you the process of developing some super old film I found inside a camera from the 30's, with some amazing results!

It's great fun, isn't it. I used to clean Spanish shipwreck treasures and now that that era is mostly over, I look for interesting old film photos to discover. If you were new at this when you did this video, you sure were lucky. Or else you had excellent coaching. Great video, thanks P.S. I plan to work on a special way to light up very dark negatives. This is a common problem when developing 50+ year old film.

Awesome! I’ve actually been doing some film work for Packard, I’ve been working on a video on Packard’s torsion bar suspension, that should be uploaded to the Packard Proving Ground’s KZread channel!

Thank you! I've developed a few more rolls of found film, but they haven't had results as good as this roll. I'll make another video once I think I have enough to make it interesting!

That's likely an orthochromatic film. I'd use a very slow developer and develop by inspection using an ir camera and ir source, after practicing on other rolls first.

You could photograph the negatives with a light panel rather than using a scanner and then photo shop them after using the light panel

Next found roll, you should try stand development or semi stand. You might get clearer images.

On your next video can you show your developing, stop bath, and fix chemical formulas, I suspect that the chemicals might give different results.

I use D-76 for developing, Kodak indicator stop bath, and some pretty old Kodak power fixer. I have some pretty old microdol-x I might test out too.

To be clear you are an exceptional talented gentleman. Your skill is highly recognized. I do suspect this film would highly benefit from the precise skill of a professional forensic historical lab for processing to draw the images. I am sure they, the lab, would also love to work with you directly to achieve optimum image results. There really is no reason not to achieve some image quality. At least to some level of clarity. I only say this from my youthful College years and the film I ruined in processing. No sequence of chemical baths, temperature, age odd chemicals, saturation etc., or under the developer magnifier were salvageable. In the " can" is the precise delicate key to salvaging any film. Film this age deserves not experiment but the highest respect. Which I do see you gave it, said with kindness. I detest the process delicacy myself and only caution to obtain results if image quality is your end result then it should be done in a high tech lab environment for optimal results. Please. Preservation of the stills is my only priority. Where I realize you may be excited to achieve shadows, where there could be images. Said with complete respect to your skills with kindness. I'm excited to see future results. Just this older film concerns me. Said with kindness.
