    Emotional intelligence has changed my life. Ever since I started working on it years ago, I see so much more in people. Of course there’s still plenty of room for my self-improvement :-)

    In a nutshell, EI is the ability to understand behaviours of others and controlling own emotions.

  • @recorpse9698

    I believe I used to know how people where feeling but I didn't used to care. I also was never able to understand my own emotions and I still can't. I believe I have high social emotional intelligence but I choose to ignore it because peoples emotions tend to make things more difficult than they need to be unless I specifically feel like I should make it a point to pay attention to emotions and react accordingly which isn't often. I'm here because recently I've been noticing confusing feelings that make me feel sick or scared and I don't understand why or what is causing them so id like to learn emotional intelligence related to myself so I know what causing me to feel this way.

    Hi Andres, Unfortunately not, but we are exploring how we can provide translations of more of our resources. In the meantime, you can see the full transcript of the video on our website here: www.mindtools.com/pages/videos/ei-animation-transcript.htm and can automatically translate this to Spanish when you become a Club member. Hope that helps! -Alice

    EQ is total BS. It calls on me to be some kind of clairvoyant and read the minds of others. At best it's an excuse for a passive-aggressive attitude that benefits absolutely no one. Just be honest, be direct, apologize when it helps and simply be kind.

  • @jbonceu2457

    @jbonceu2457

    3 жыл бұрын

    Being honest and direct does not always work 100%. Not all people will respond to "harsh truth" the way you expect them to respond. If you're aware of what other people feel, you'll know when and how you'll confront the other person, and how you'll channel your own feelings to them. Truth is, all people have emotions, (even if it seems suppressed to others) and as part of ourselves, we need to recognize, understand, and be smart in utilizing it. that's why people handle arguments,conflicts, and obstacles better (and are much happier in life) because they have a better understanding of their own and other people's happiness.
