There’s a prayer that stuck in my mind that I’m sharing. The Priest said during Mass in his Homily, close your eyes and say like you mean it, “Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus Christ, I give you permission to make me the Saint I was created me to be”. Since then, I’ve been saying the prayer. 🙏🙏🙏!!!✝️✝️✝️!!!👍👍👍!!!

I feel so lost in life at the moment. Feeling like one of those pieces of seaweed just kinda floating in and out with the tide. I wish God would reveal what I’m supposed to do. I don’t want to waste my life. Pray for me?

I feel for you because I feel the same, sometimes. I've been thinking that we reap the fruit of our actions, and we can either plant seeds for our growth and happiness in the future, or we are frivolous in our actions, do things of little merit in our leisure time? Nations have fallen on account of their people misusing their leisure. They lose their strength because they do not exercise it. It's imperative that we use our life well, and that every moment be devoted to the good. Many of Fr. Mike's videos are devoted to how to devote one's life to the good. I'll pray for you

The best way to grow your faith is to practice it.

Am not catholic (yet) but I attended mass and spoke with Fr. Marten my local priest for about an hour about theology and the catholic faith. He also handed me a rosary. It meant so much to me. I know I’m on the right path. Thank you for your inspirational videos!

Hope that all turned out okay! How are you? If you still feel lost, pray for Mary! She is our Holy Mother God gave to us! She loves us and would love to bring you home to our loving father!

A year later here I am preparing to go through my normal cycle of daily KZread binge, "Oh look, a recommended video from Fr Mike I haven't watched yet!" Watches video "...well I guess I should skip the binge."

I started to cry so hard when I heard the first sentence and continued sobbing for the rest of this video. I have absolutely wasted my life so far. I don't want to live for the rest of my life living this meaningless existance... it wasn't always like this. Life was full of promises, I was young, smart, talented... I neglected all my talents and became this bitter, unproductive, deeply unhappy and miserable person. I need to change my life COMPLETELY before it's too late. I feel like such a failure.

Marietta, I'm 62 years old and spent most of that time wasting my life. I realized that God had a plan for me that would use a talent that I didn't know I had. I felt called to help teach teenagers at our church. I didn't want to do it, because I didn't know much about my faith. I did it anyway and found out how much one can learn, when they have to teach. I have now been teaching for 8 years and feel teaching young people, about God, is the most important thing I can be doing with my life. It's not always easy, but I feel happy now that I'm doing Gods will. Hang in there, and know that many people are praying for you. The first step to happiness can sometimes be rough, but you've made that first step! God bless you and many of us are praying for you.

But everyday when I wake Is a new beginning that provides and opportunity for me to choose to love to grow in virtue. I’m a Muslim. And I must say your advise was valuable, great points mentioned. It’s ultimately through Gods guidance and wisdom that we can attain our true vision and be what He wants us to be. We do share differences, but we are the. creation of the Creator. Thanks !

You should become catholic! How many times does the Quran mentions the holy name of Jesus? 25 How many times does it mentions Muhammad? 4. Our sins are so big and offend God so much that the ONLY way we could be redeemed was if GOD HIMSELF paid the price. And that was what he did! He incarnated in a man's body, and redeemed our sins letting people murder Him in a cross, going through the most painful sufferings. God loves you. You may think that he didn´t needed to do that, because, beeing God, He could just forgive our sins and they would just vanished. But God, beeing all Mighty and Loving wanted to show us the love that he feels for us and also the path of sacrifice, which is the path of true love. God, our Lord Jesus Christ, went through the most painful sufferings you can imagine only to show us His love! You said that we were the creation of the creator, well, after you baptize, you will be a son of our Holy Father. Not just a part of the creation, but a true son who will inherit the kingdom of heaven!

God must be listening because I literally asked my self today if anything I’m doing is worth it if in the end all we have left is Jesus Christ. You sir have a strange way of knowing the right times to upload a video when someone is feeling suicidal or having the same longing for God that Revelations touches on. Glad I have the chance to watch you.

The world needs good people at this time. There are so many ways of making this a better world, we all need to learn where we are needed and run, yes run, to that place so we can help. If the person has a longing for God it means the person is longing to be of service, that's the way to have God longing for you. As I said there is so much need in this world right now, we just have to look around. We need good people to make this a better world. EVERYBODY is so much needed!

True talk. That's what I pray for everyday: for clear vision. The bible says "Without vision, the people perish". "My people perish for lack of knowledge".

Timely wisdom for me and what the Lord has been teaching me lately. Thank you for your ministry and you challenging messages. I am a 35 year old Protestant husband and father of 3 and you are one of the resources I have been regularly utilizing as I consider converting to Catholicism. Prayers would be appreciated.

I have a hard time sitting down and reading a book, even though there are so much good material out there, but it is so easy to watch these videos. I listen to them while eating, exercising, etc. Please never stop making these videos Father Mike! God bless.

“Every saint has a past; every sinner has a future.” This has become one of my life mantras.😊 I’ve wasted so much of my life, too, and at age 60, I joined the Catholic Church. I’ve spent the last year reading and learning, and the more I learn, the more I realize what I don’t know! I’m not a people person, but I’m going to pray for the Holy Spirit to fill me to help me increase my faith, generosity, and courage. Then, I will need to shut up and LISTEN to Jesus’ reply! Thank you for that wonderful words of wisdom Fr. Mike. I have been struggling the past months as to what decision and path I would take. A few years back I was certain as to what vocation I would pursue but I held it back because I have to help my siblings go to school. Almost all of them finished now but I still haven't got to do that decision because again I was held back by the responsibilities at work and my siblings still asking for my help. I tried to forego about my previous choice of vocation but the other vocation, I still can't find how to settle to. So right now, I really felt like I lost direction and goals for myself because I kept on fulfilling other people's goals for their life. Please pray for my courage to respond to God's call or to really know what his real vision for me is. Amen.

One of the best things someone ever did for me is challenge me to write a personal mission statement. I accepted the challenge and not only wrote a mission statement, but added on a number of physical, intellectual, relational, and spiritual goals (along with a plan to accomplish them) that I want to work towards throughout my life. Doing this has paid a million personal dividends by bringing clarity and focus to who I am who and who I think God is calling me to be. If you haven't ever done something like this, consider this a challenge from me to you. :)

Agreed! I would add, do it before you are married, and find a spouse who shares your vision and values. Then you are a team working towards the goals, not working at cross purposes or compromising. Talk about wasting your life, marry the wrong person

Wonderful lesson! I hope the younger generations take it to heart. For us older folks: It's never too late until it's too late! For those of us who are of the Baby Boomer Era, or grew up under their influence, there was a lot of nihilism, married to materialism, consumerism, hedonism, and humanism, directing our decisions. So many of them/us hit the discovery that none of that brings happiness. Some of us find what truly does bring happiness -- even if 50 years passed in dissipation, you can still follow the advice in this video and end on a note of accomplishment.

I pray the rosary every day (mostly) with tranquility as my personal intent. It helps and I truly believe that one cannot make sound decisions regarding a vision in life without some tranquility of the mind. I've been away from the church for a very long time but recently an inner voice pushed me to get a rosary and use it. (I had forgotten how and re-learned it on KZread.) I didn't ask for that push but it came nevertheless. My vision is clear - Join a parish, Get a new job, Manage my finances, Find a good Catholic woman to share a life, Join the Knights of Columbus like my late 4th Degree grandfather, Help where I can, and be happy....and have fun.

Father Mike, I just found God a few months ago, and immediately after that he brought me to your Bible in a Year podcast. Have been listening as much as I can to catch up. But the most amazing thing is that as I ponder my spiritual journey more and more, your videos from 6/7/8 years ago appear perfectly the next day after I've been thinking about something. I want to thank God for showing me these as needed and thank you for making these videos on such specific topics. Thank you.

God almigthy helped me already so much to overcome witchcraft attacks..It's unbelievable that people would want to work against other people their luck and eventually their own luck as well I guess. I am glad God gave me a good heart a sound mind and strong wishes to deepen my career path, just as a primary school teacher, what is needed very much as well at the moment. I wish everbody the best, but never at the expense of others, I drudge these kind of people deeply you may know. God knows how to deal everyone it's own plate in the end, that's what I strongly believe. People always have a choice. Wish you all the best with finding a direction in life that makes you feel at home and make it your own place In this world. I have always served God… I’ve had Lupus 30 years… but they diagnosed with central nervous system … I can’t serve in the same capacity .. I’ve had to give up so many ways of serving God… the least of these…. My favorite .. I’ve been blessed to serve 2 generations of children in need… I’m lost..I pray I don’t know what else to do… I can’t drive anymore….I just need prayers .. I’m just lost at what to do but pray and listen.. I am going to listen For God my Father to send Holy Spirit.. help me … I have peace but still lost in what’s next

Boby builders are awesome! Vision and imagery is important! I meditate daily about what I want to manifest. I visualize Jesus handing me what I desire - in terms of personal improvement! For instance, two years ago I implemented a math website for my fifth graders. I wanted them to be able to work at their own pace. At the age of 53, I was afraid to develop a website and was uncertain how to make it all happen in the classroom. But, meditation, with Jesus - helped me! It’s been a success the past 2 school years.

Yet again, this video was so incredibly and eerily similar to what I’m spiritually questioning and going through. Beautiful video. Deciding between moving away from my husbands family (with him of course) and pursuing help medically for a rare adbnormality with my fertility in a new place where my family is. Also, begging God to show me what career path he wants me to go down in order to help people know Him. I am at a job right now, and in a community where my husband and I feel like we are wasting our God given gifts simply for comfort and out of fear of change. Been married for a little over a year and both realized how unhappy we are with the paths we’re on. We are settling all due to familiarity and “easiness” despite both feeling a tug to make something and be apart of something with meaning and challenges in order to make us WHO GOD WANTS US TO BE!!! God bless Fr. Mike and his openness to the Holy Spirit....THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! I’ve never heard really anything like this. God is so good!

Hi Father Mike :) Good advice, I hope people take it to heart. I'm one of the lucky ones. I crashed my life at age 34 and lost everything. I mean EVERYTHING! Having lived a lie all my life I was handed an opportunity to start again. This time I got on my knees and asked Christ to guide me. Over time I learned to surrender and release to Christ. Through prayer and listening to the depths of my soul, I began to understand God's destiny for my life. Today I try to live for Christ as he lived for me, in service and sacrifice. While this is no guarantee of an easy life, I go forward knowing I am in God's hands and no matter what happens it's okay because I've already skipped ahead and read the last page of the book. I know how it all ends. :) ✌P*E*A*C*E✌

Father Mike--we can call our self privileged.Division between state and church. God is not a thinker he is a maker. Never would God want us to stall. I respect and believe in christianity. Jesus is the coolest the world has ever seen.

Father Mike, I have to thank you. I am a life long Catholic and admittedly have floundered. Finding your videos, as well as other Catholic speakers, have given me a new and fresh perspective on my faith and how I should live my life, how I should love others and Jesus more. It's helped me understand how much I am loved by Jesus and that I have a purpose. For a long time, I never understood that. It has helped me grow in so many ways.

My grandma passed away recently at age 98, she was once in her room with her son, my grandpa, his daughter, my mom, and her daughter, my sister and her daughter my niece. yeah, imagien what 1 life can make a diffrence. one abortion can prevent generations you never got to meet.

I like what you said about wanting more time, and that we would find ways to squander it, even if we did. I have spoken with terminally ill patients who say that having a known expiration date on their life was in some ways a blessing, because it allowed them to focus more on what was important. To make the best of their remaining time, rather than squandering it. We are all terminal on this planet. Some just have a better understanding of when their time of departure actually will be, as opposed to the rest of us who wander around until one day it is done. We should all live with a clearer understanding of how time-limited we are, be it 6 months, or 60 more years, it is a very short ride.

Great analogy for the body builders back when I cared more for my physical state I had a weight goal and adjusted my diet and lifestyle accordingly to eat so many grams of protein then I went to the gym and worked the muscles I felt I needed to and over a period I got visibly stronger not by alot but modest gains learned this through relevant research only I feel it's difficult to learn who God wants me to be it's more vague

Wow I’ve been struggling for my vocation but I felt like I already knew the answer but I’m putting it to the side because of the fear of actually not knowing 100% if that’s what god wants me to do so I wasn’t really saying yes to god it was kind of like a “well lord I’ll serve you but I mean idk let me think about this, idk I’ll answer u later” but now I realize that god talks he wants me to make a clear descion now not to waste my time and start serving him as soon as possible, thank u father Mike ur videos truly help god speaks through in many ways we’ll pray for u father and u keep praying for us
