"destruction" was always too narrow a concept for a grand alliance. it should have been a wilderness/wildlands alliance, with not just orks & goblins but also wood elves/sylvaneth (who should have abandoned order over sigmar & co for chopping down forests to build cities & feed industry) and beastmen/kurnothi (who should have abandoned chaos for leaving them these mortal realms only to come back with archaon to destroy them)

I have decided to take the plunge and do beastmen in the old world.

Beasts of Chaos and Bonesplitterz one could argue 'this were old mini's anyhow and the writing was on the wall for all the Warhammer fantasy minis'. But Sacrosanct was the fucking 2.0 Launch faction. What does this mean for Vanguard Stormcast? The 'logic' was always that at least anything made for AoS was safe and this kinda upsets that paradigm. And don't get me wrong, SCE is absurdly bloated and Warrior Chamber will probably get some sort of renewal anyhow. And nothing easier to proxy all the various 'Stormcast Warrior dude with a weapon' but sacrosanct is kinda absurd since it actually has a cohesive theme and could get it's own gameplay niche within the faction while we wait for the update.

Ballista -> no replacement. Evocators on Draco -> any other cav unit. Evocators -> Vanquishers Sequitors -> liberators Paladins -> Annihilators. Judicators -> Vigilors. Liberators -> new sculpts. Prosecutors -> new sculpts Castigators -> Vanguard Raptors.

I can't believe the crappy Soulgrinder is staying, while the Warcry Warbands leave😮

They did the same in 40k between 9th and 10th when they took all of chaos unique forge world demon engines and demons that were uber popular models and had been used both in tournaments and casual since 7th ed and they went: well now you can only Play them in horus heresym .get fucked. (For context...those models never had anything to do with horus heresy)

probably will just remain warcry relavent as they have learned from the current edition of Warcry where none of the warbands have anything to do with AoS. Also the old warbands hardly get bought. I see them stacked up at my FLGS's all the time collecting dust. It was inevitable and I expect the same from Killteam someday too. Only difference being they started with 40k army compendium teams so there was no loss of models when they started getting axed

no problem to just run them with generic Darkoath rules. Better than different rules for like 20 different warbands creating bloat

There is a huge problem with a lot of these discontinuations, a lot of these models are less than 10 years old. These is simply no way I can play or participate in a game with this much churn. Their business model of selling shiny new plastic every week to addicts means that this "bloat" ends up being inevitable. But with this big a miss rate on support for miniatures means It's simply too risky to put my money into this. People used to say rules are temporary, cool miniatures are forever. But now it's rules change every 6 months plastic lasts 5 years. No fuckin way.

If someone asks you if they can use their Beast of Chaos army the only correct answer is "how many points?"

GW should also tell us straight if a model gets the axe because of an impending refresh or if its going out to buy some milk. Especially for SCE and skaven there is a lot of "maybe refresh maybe not" and for that we should get an official definitiv "Ballistas will get refreshed, this named walking Lord gets to fetch milk for khorne"

GW released Island of Blood/spire of dawn (high elves and skaven) for AoS, and then Start collecting greenskins, and then they squatted most of the models soon after. They arent going to say anything that may result in less sales such as telling people "we are getting rid of these soon"

Tbh this one was the last straw for me. I am currently conducting an inventory of all my armies to decide what to keep and what to sell, and how to sell it. It’s a massive collection. But I am personally getting off the treadmill. My new home will be historical wargaming, and Star Wars Legion. I would like to finish armies, and put them on the shelf, and have them stay finished.

I feel like Bonesplitterz players have silently known and accepted that this was coming for a while now. Beastmen were more surprising, but at the same time wasn't at all. They were announced as a core TOW army a while ago and none of the Core armies are in AOS.

Another vote for the SDS v Warhammer main video. After giving this the tiniest bit of thought. And from sort of an outsider perspective. One thing I’d love from GW, in general, is to decide what they’re going to produce, and keep it in stock... at least in their website and, therefore, through their own brick and mortar stores. As a Kill Team player, the shortages of the season two box sets was really frustrating. If you’re a new KT player, you can’t really get your hands on the terrain sets that you need to match what you’ll see at most events. The Octarius terrain set needs to be kept available, or at least a more generic but compatible version of that set. Card sets as well.

The great news is, you'll be able to experience that frustration again! My FLGS has confirmed they are getting almost ZERO of the new KT box!

Genuine question: for the models being refreshed, why do they need to announce like this at all? It’s not like there was some “leaving the range” announcement for Terminators when Leviathan dropped. They announced the new sculpts and part of that was the old ones going off sale, then things like Land Speeders were a separate story. Mixing that up with units being actually squatted and some not clear either way seems like a terrible way to make the actual disruption worse.

I mean that's a big chunk of my son's Stormcast army squatted, but thankfully we primarily play OPR Age of Fantasy these days so they're still all good.

Beasts of Chaos hurt a lot. Hands down one of my favorite factions as their lore was so cool and I absolutely loved all the gors. It's especially frustrating that the book was setting up the return of Morghur and other big Beasts moves. I do appreciate that they'll get rules until next year, but to me, their rules better have some power behind them if they are about to completely negate peoples' Goats out of the Mortal Realms

I mean, the moment they were announced as a TOW core army last summer, it was kinda obvious that they were going. None of the core armies are in AOS.

Pour one out for all the 40k dudes who, unhappy with the way 10th has been going, may have decided to get into AoS only to have their army or units they've bought immediately squatted.

I would like to see GW offer trade ins. If people were willing, bring their old minis in and get a 50% to 75% discount off the new updated sculpts

Perhaps the time to give a heads up was before releasing a Beasts of Chaos Vanguard box and new mini last year?

Evocators on Dracolines being dropped, but Vanguard Palladors dodging the knife is one I'm going to need someone to explain to me using plain English.

Probably had to do with what would have had multiple units performing similar roles when the new stuff is out, we only need one heavy cavalry and ben johnson has a bunch of dracoths instead of dracolines.

The fact the BoC has a terrain piece and endless spells still got scraped when some armys dont have either who have gotten 90% refreshed like orks or soulblight

I'm devastated Rob. My main AoS army that I got into a couple of years after they blew up the old world... the first time, is Stormcast, which I choose expecting them to be around until I'm old! I got a new box of dracolines last week. Literally 90% of my army is disappearing, I have 2x dragon riders, a dragon and a character left. Every single other model is on their goodbye list. Makes me wish I hadn't subscribed to White dwarf again, when I got those dracolines last week, with my last being a decade ago before they went digital. It's taken all the looking forward to the new edition from me, and games workshop in general.

I understand their reasons for tidying up the range, removing duplication etc. But the Stormcast changes just make me wonder how limited a lifespan minis are now working to. Kharadron haven’t mad much since there first wave - would it be safe to buy an army, or will they (slightly ironically) get squatted next edition? How long to my Nighthaunt have be for they’re on afterlife support? Yeah, I can play stuff in friendly games, and I don’t really do tournies anyway - but I can play with Tonka toys in those games if my opponent os ok with it, so why would I keep buying GW if they’ll be pulling this crap in a few years?

So sad about my Beasts of Chaos.... Hope there's a ToW community near me....

Gutted about the Warcry warbands - some stunning & interesting sculpts waving goodbye!

So this is where I think the community should just force GW's hand. All event organizers should just keep allowing the squatted miniatures and armies to be in the game and just make the official tournaments the odd man out. Also really open up what you allow for proxies and 3D prints in tournament settings. Really show GW if you're going to do this you're not going to have The community help your bottom line

evokitties getting squatted before dracoth guard is so bizarre to me. the dracoth guard kit is old as balls, is horrible to assemble, and the models themselves just look bad, while the evokitties are beautiful, dynamic sculpts. it doesn't make any sense to me.

Can only guess it’s something to do with in-game effectiveness and popularity in lists? I know Dracoth guard fulminates or concussors we’re pretty hard hitting units- no idea how dracolines performed. I agree though, definitely sucks- dracolines we’re much better models- the Dracoths look so square and stationary

The moment people let go trash a 5 year old army to replace it all with the same but " updated" minis with different names it's officially dead to me. It's too expensive of a hobby, money and timewise to expect you to replace entire collections every 5 years or so...

I’ve been late to the party and just spent the last few months building and painting pretty much everything on that Stormcast list. Mainly due to me buying the Mortal Realms magazines and sitting on them the last few years and having little interest in AoS. Lately my local club has started an escalation league and I’ve really enjoyed learning the game and building my army. What’s also the kick in the balls is that I’ve been a heavy Warcry player for the last few years and have been buying and painting the Chaos Warbands,Underworld figures with the plan of building an army of marauders and warbands as a second army. GW has pulled the rug and destroyed any hope and future for these armies in one informational post. I’m done.

BoC is my only army and has been since the start of 2nd edition aos. I've played them exclusively. It's my favorite faction both theme and play style. I think what I don't get is the mentality behind taking them out for tow. I have been saving up to get into tow in addition to aos but now I'm done with both. Doesn't make sense to me.

End Times 2.0 comes to AoS - the corporate GW has taken your money for AoS for years after flipping the finger at the WHFB player base and now they are once again looking towards new young bloods to hand over their money (or their parents money) They've done it to a lesser degree to 40k players by sending first born marines to legends amd many other models to join them. GW is here to make money, GW cares about shareholders, if you are a gamer GW is not your friend you are simply a customer to be parted from your hard earned cash

If nothing else, they can always be run as other kinds of Slaves to Darkness units, like Marauders.

They should give the community a whole edition time. At AoS4 launch (like now) tell us that they wont return for AoS5. Its only 3 years anyways so not too long for GW and also a decent amount of time to come to terms with the inevitable (And with that timescale they will get support during the edition, because i can guaratee that they wont get any updates after january 2025 because 6 months later they are out anyways)

I'm not super into the Warhammer news, so do you guys really think at least gutbusters are next? It would make all sense with the older sculpts never getting any refresh, given what we've seen today. I'm one of the disgruntled 40k dudes looking into AoS and was considering Ogres, Beastmen and Bonereapers. I guess they kinda made the decision for me 😢

I’m done with buying miniatures/ AOS. I just got into AOS half a year ago and bought the dominion set and a bunch of other starter packs and now they’re all removed/obsolete? Yea fuck GW, they should remove it from their site than because right now you can still buy the minis they are removing. Or take refunds which I know they won’t do. Well fuck GW and AOS, I will just go back to Game of thrones table top. Plenty of other table top games that don’t just delete models that people have just bought.

Realm of Ghur is populated by mighty beasts and savage orruks...Well, let's remove half of Ghur inhabitants guys. GG. 😂

I own everything on the Stormcast list and a lot of Beasts of Chaos. I have too many models so will be having a bit of a clear out on eBay with this news. I fully expected a cull from the Stormcast side just not this large a one. Did not expect the Warcry cull, will be selling some and keeping my favs to add some variety to slaves to darkness units. Considering trying out Old World with the BoC but may just take it as a sign to reduce my mini collection to a more sensible size.

Well there goes 2 of my units from Slaves to Darkness while my painted Stormcast has only one unit that’s official. Guess I’m painting up a lot of Thunderstrike and Darkoath Marauders in the near future.

My biggest problem with the BoC cut isnt the cut. Its the “but you can play TOW”. Dude, If I wanted to play TOW I would. I played AoS because I wanted to play AoS. I have 7 armies (6 now I guess), but Im pretty sure I wont ever buy an original mini from now on, and Im sure i wont be trying 4th edition now.

Third edition was quite good, and going back to second edition, but worse is a hard pass for me. Ill sell off most of the armies I can. And save some models for the TTRPGs.

A solution to a problem GW made with all the grace of a football hooligan almost a decade in the making.

And they sold beasts of chaos vangaurd box set when they more than likely knew it would be useless I very soon. Very slimy and down right despicable. BOC fans don't want to play Warhammer Fantasy. If they did they'd already have square based models. Just awful.

Almost half of the Stormcast are being dumpstered 😢 It’s time to “Reforge” (kitbash) them into more modern versions! 😤

I'm an SCE player and feel gutted. I do understand the need for new models to replace old ones, but the amount made obsolete is just painful. It's an INTENTIONAL design by GW for SCE fraction to have the most number of units/heroes. So its only natural for SCE players to collect this large range. However we're being punished for this exact design from GW. So one of the reasons for GW to cut these large range down can be due to balancing, design issues in the future. Which then makes me concerned about the viability of the fraction going forward. Is GW going to rinse and repeat, basically continue pumping more units for the poster fraction of AoS (maintain largest range), only to wipe them further down the road? E.g Come AoS 5.0, entire SCE AoS 1.0 (and limited AoS 3.0) range will be gone? Sacrosanct was basically AoS 2.0, only 6 years back, and now wiped. Space Marines, poster boys for 40k been around for ages? Look at Beast of Chaos, GW actually released a relative new (less then 6 months?) Vanguard box for them, only for the players to know , "Hey thanks for the purchase, it'll just last another year or so more ... " So what is GW signaling? A) Quit AoS, switch over to Space Marines 40k, B) Quit SCE and just start a new army with limited model range E.g Idolneth, which runs a smaller risk of units getting wiped? Or is GW is betting on the fact that players will whine, complain in the initial shock phase, but continue to be suckers and just buy the new sculpts upon new releases... lol

I guess you just have to decide if you want to stay a GW Customer or not. Switching over to Space Marines or a different army will not really help...

It’s so wild that a game which is still haunted by the ill-feeling its launch created, slashing and burning old world armies like a bad corporate restructure, would double down on the same play twice in a decade. Is it really that hard to keep a pdf updated for three years?

Ive spent so many hours building, converting, basing and starting to paint my old SCE (1.0 box and 2 copies of Soul War) stuff in the past month since AoS 4.0 came onto my radar, now I know I'll only get to use them for a year. Kinda considering just stopping the project altogether, now.

"Sad" doesn't begin to describe how someone feels when they can no longer play their beautifully painted $3000 army. Pure rage, maybe.

4 ballistas. 40 sequitors, 15 evicators , 10 judicators , 20 paladins, 9 prosecutors, all heroes. I am a SCE player with zero legal players. And in my country legends is not just not played, but people check it. Not just for tournament, but for every matched play game. And no one here plays any open formats.

It's a sad time, all my beasts were already for TOW but I feel the pain of my fellow Brayherds. I really do think they should get some props in how they are handling this by giving the "one year notice" as it were, thought even more transparency as to what will specifically getting refreshed for people to make last chance purchases would be better.

I have a fairly large Wanderers army waiting for the day I can summon the energy to rebase them. I don't recall there being much, if any, advanced notice of their demise from the Cities range, so a years notice is definitely an improvement. Not much solace, I know, but it's something. My Bonesplitters were only really for when we could play a Destruction army and I've shied away from adding to them since, as they weren't really being supported. It's interesting that Gloomspite Gitz are an official army in AOS and official in the Old World. This seems to buck the trend and I'm not sure what it portends. Hopefully, they can coexist in both games without much fuss (fingers crossed).

Hugs to everyone. Sucks to have miniatures sent to legends. This is poor communication on the part of GW. They knew this was coming. They can and should tell the player base in advance. Not milk the Beasts players with one last Vanguard box before yanking the rug out from under them.

I mean they plan 3 years in advance so... 3 years? Barring that maybe don't release a "start collecting" box less than a year ago for an army that you knew damn well by then that players should NOT start collecting

Mantic treats their customers far more respectfully, which is why Kings of War has become my favorite Fantasy rank and flanks game - oh, besides having been written by the same guy that made WHFB 6th edition and it being the best ruleset I've played in over 30 years of wargaming.

Just a shame the game and models are awful

well after having 16 yrs worth of collecting, painting blood angels and crimson fist to the tune of almost 8600 pts dropped into legends status it forced me to shelf those armies I havent played much 40k since. now AOS is getting the same treatment. think I need another hobby. have no desire or the funds to ride this wave at the end of this the veteran hobbyist. is getting the shaft

The silver lining in this is that, so far, it pretty much confirms the rumors I've read in a thread speaking about the leavetaking of BoC along with the coming of Chaos Dwarf. So, there's that. But, damn, 10 years old or so minis rendered useless like that is frightnening. I'm holding tight my Boney-bois and Aquamen.

This pretty much made my ENTIRE stormcast army invalid. Nothing more than a GW cash grab. This is why I’ve started 3D printing.

I've got a friend in the same boat as you then, bought his first stormcasts 2 days ago and now they hit him with this...

Gutted about the stormcast. As my stormcast force is the sacrosant chamber, but I don’t play competitive so it’s not the end. I can still use them in the home games with the kids while they learn and build their own stuff.

It’s funny because my 3E Sylvaneth book is missing the Branchwraith. Loosing BoC is the part that seems strange, Bonesplitters were obviously replaced by Kruleboyz when the “Realm of Bestail Savagry where even continents are predatory” didn’t give them a launch refresh. BoC on the other hand finally feel like they found their rules place and just needed a model refresh to make them a viable faction with more appeal. Loosing my Sacrosanct is a little annoying, but now I have a bunch of painted proxies ready to go I suppose.

This is pathetic by GW, arr you kidding me, for the Stormcast, the Ballista, evocators, judicators, castigators, where some of the better models and what made the Stormcast!! WTF!!! GW YOUD BETTER GIVE US A TON OF NEW MODELS I mean seriously this is pathetic!😡

Interestingly those named characters being dropped are all Hammers of Sigmar. The pivot to Hallowed Knights paint scheme in the art and loss of Hammers named characters suggests they're going all in on changing the poster boys.

I'm kinda gutted about the stormcast changes! I was away for the last year so unable to finish my army, just got back and finished them off just before the news, and now half the models are ded and buried 😅 i ill still enjoy playing at home but was considering playing in tournaments and now not sure whether to just wait until I complete my next army instead 😵‍💫

Most of the warbands have been out of stock for a long time, then a few weeks ago the all come back in stock and i was finally able to get a few boxes of Corvus Cabal thay were delivered last week, and they are being cut. Why didn't they just let them be out of stock, why did they make more knowing they were going to cut them. It really feels bad.

I got major warmahordes PTSD hearing about this. Making you armies and models not playable is a sure fire way to shite on your community. It's the main reason I never picked the game back up. Look, I get it. It gets harder the more models you have to balance and design the game. Metas happen, yadayada. But I would rather be told X Units or X Armies are being put on hiatus for an edition and will come back in a later edition for simplicity and to shake up the meta. That is more acceptable. I feel bad for anyone that just got started and added these to their collection at the get go. At the same time, I look forward to people setting their armies on fire again because overreaction.

My (pretty shitty) crystal ball take is that they're testing the reaction to a rotation of models. They've just seen a massive success in "un-retiring" a whole games worth of models from 8 years prior. Unfortunately, by only squatting a fraction of the player base, there won't be enough of momentum or a pushback from the community as a whole to seek another game system. I can see this happening to a bunch of factions/models in the future. Savage Orcs, Beastmen, and even Skaven likely have a destination for their current models as you say, be it the Old World or a range refresh, but Stormcast and Warcry warbands will be interesting to see if they try bringing them back a-la "Old World" style and reinvigorate sales on manufactured nostalgia. I am pretty cynical on this shit though.

Trying to think how to move all those Stormcast to be corpses on scenic basing;) yeah, sucks, but appreciate the focus on the community and giving positive suggestions. Whoa! They are squatting every non Thunderstrike Stormcast (except Dracothian Guard and Stardrakes and maybe Lord Relictor) Granted, they are still usable until 2025, but wow! That is a huge range reduction. I am surprised they removed the Sacrosanct Chamber, who is very popular, and not Vanguard. Also surprised by some of the Chaos removals. Figured they would be kept around for Warcry or Underworlds. I guess not!

I just got into warhammer and AoS a year ago, fell in love with the beasts of chaos faction. Looks like I gotta invest in some square bases or find a way to convert them into something usable in the new edition of AoS

I get it that stuff gets cycled out but sacrosanct is literally an edition old. Grots are still using fantasy models. I can use my sequitors as cool liberators but the more important thing to me at this point is the instability of collecting in this game. If you tell me the new stuff is going away in 6 years from release, my interest in this hobby changes. I'm gonna look for factions that aren't going to be getting as many refreshes and changes because I don't want to be cycling my painted armies every 6 years. I'm thinking about washing my hands of SCE at this point because I don't want to do this again in 6 years.

Honestly with time, I've come to hate Range refreshes... they usually just end up being a double of the price of "ultra dynamic" models (which I personally don't like the look of). I wouldn't be surprised if we go from a 20 clanrat box for 35 euro, which are really simple and fun to build (with basically just gluing some shields and weapons) to a mega detailed 10 rat box for 40 euro which takes ages to even assemble... new models and range refreshes should be an exciting time to welcome changes, but honestly it just seems to pivot to 30+ euro HQs and annoying-to-assemble small boxes of core troops...

Do you thank that Night Goblins will follow Beastmen out of the range for AoS too in future as I think (don’t quote me) they’re the only other main range that’s Old World and AoS?

As a long time of Beastmen fan… I’m devastated. When Old World came out, at LVO this year I asked Michael Brandt if we were being relegated to Old World. He told me no and anyone who said that was an A hole. There was also a Q+A panel with the developers, who were asked the same thing and said no. GW lied. Sigmar lied. My only hope is they are giving us to Summer 2025 because a new AoS version of Beastmen is coming, that they need time to develop. I’ll go out bleating into the very end. #HerdThat

Literally makes no sense they got rid of nearly half the stormcast range when they’re only re doing some of the wave 1 kits and to add to that they remove tonnes of hero’s like why there’s no way they couldn’t have supported them sce have gone from having loads of hero’s to having like 5

Some of the frustrating things about BoC being removed. They knew for so long that this was happening with the evidence that BoC never got unit cards or dice and they still repacked a new vanguard box to shoehorn in sales for something they were cancelling. Plus they had new lore teasing Morghurs return. What happens now in AoS lore, all these units just disappear from the realms? The greatfrays just go into hiding? Sad but I understand. The only bright spot in all of this is that Darkoath will hopefully get expanded on further and Chaos Duradin can fill this empty spot in the Grand Alliance in Chaos.

Stormcast player with about 10k points. We all knew that Stormcast needed to be trimmed. Losing the entire second edition section seems extreme. KittyCaters were cool and going to miss them. But really I will just use them as a proxy. I can live with this with one condition. If they did this trim just so they could add 30 new Stormcast units so the range just re-bloats, I am going to call bullshit.

It’s hard to be positive given how much this stings, but I suppose there is something to be said for the year of support these models will be getting. It’s far more notice than we’ve seen in the past and as many have said today, ripping the bandaid off early is better than a more split second announcement later in 4th. I’m very sad to see Beasts of Chaos leave AoS and I hope the refresh they receive in Old World is truly spectacular. Damn you Rob for being right! But thank you as always for being an Honest Wargamer 💜

Bold of gw thinking i will buy more liberator / warrior chamber because they change the design

I literally just got my 2 Dominion boxes for my SCE force last night. Now granted none of those are affected by this - but it does not give me a lot of enthusiasm to actually take stuff out of the boxes and make my army. Because I mean what happens in a couple years? GW decides to replace Thunderstrike stuff? Or my other faction, Hedonites - why bother building them up now? For all I know they're just going to get dumped because they aren't popular enough.

Very much affected by this, like most I have my plastic pile of shame - but that means I'm very happy with my actually finished and painted models...and this cuts my finished pile in half. Completely agree with your points about using the old liberators "as" the new ones - fully expect I will be doing that and I know that all my local tournaments won't have a problem with that. My concern is for the precedent this sets, when GW retired the entire tactical marines range to encourage people to buy primaris i was worried that they would decide that this tactic worked great - let's do more of that! The very short lifespan of these models is super concerning for me when thinking about investing/starting new armies if they're only going to last a few years.

I've been meaning to pickup some of the Slaves to Darkness Warcry stuff just to paint, feels awful that there's going to be a chaotic rush to grab them now.

As a new AOS fan who doesn't play in tournaments and who's been watching your videos lately, my honest question is what is the incentive to even play 4th edition so far? Like what is the new thing I'm supposed to not be able to live without? My impression so far has been a mixed bag and then this, pretty much.

Missed the twitch today as was out with the kids but yeah kinda sucks. I've got a few armies but this hits 2 of them. I have pretty much exclusively Sacrosanct for my SC and also have Bonesplitterz which....yeah. As it goes I will pretty much just port the Bonesplitterz into Old World as I was plannig on doing an orc army anyway and as you say, for casual play I can do what I like, so I can stil use my aos stuff with my mates. I was expecting the Splitterz but the Sacrosanct where a bit more unexpected but so it goes. GW innit! This is why I don't buy the books, print when I can, third party/second hand when I can't etc.

Imagine just having the best day and then stumbling upon this news.

Kind of glad I haven't started painting my Tempest of Souls box I bought secondhand a few months ago. Granted, I've always intended to use them in One Page Rules, instead of Age of Sigmar, so it's no huge loss for me. Nothing but sympathy for all the AoS players who just lost parts of or their entire army (or armies). Just a rotten thing to do to customers.

This is absolute BS. Initially I thought ow they are deleting these lines to refresh the range…… then I read further, I have a mate who is really devastated! He has played beasts of chaos since they had their own army section back in a really old choas army book. He was so happy to finally get a AoS book and now it’s been ripped away. It almost feels like they are going to use “the old world” as an excuse to get rid of ranges. As my mate says “I don’t want to play the old world I like AoS”. Now he has to make a decision as to whether he just does not play Warhammer anymore or to try and move on and invest in another army.

The outrage is real. My THREE Ballistae have been waiting patiently to be useful in the game, and now THIS.

To be honest I was almost expecting witch elves and sisters of slaghter to get a new kit / model refresh. but for Beast of Chaos I am hoping to find a lot of there model ranges to show up in sub faction of chaos in one form or another.

Like my entire SCE army are first edition bois (mainly units, never cared too much about heroes) and Iam still going to use them side by side with new one Like what is going to be difference between Thunderstrike and Original Liberators gameplay wise? Nothing, really nothigng and will reuse them Like sorry for Sacroscants (see them back in next editions)
