That's why I prefer using pheromones here. The other dialogue options are just kind of generic.

Darrow deciding to embark on this stupid scheme because he was a gimp and couldn't fix it was probably the most lame-ass writing I've ever seen, especially when we've seen plenty of Iraq War veterans come home and function without arm braces on perfectly good artificial limbs, even if they're not cybernetic.

Yeah good point but I'm pretty sure it was augmentation he wanted not just to be functional.

It makes total sense - he probably feels threatened by the cognitive augs which could make everybody else smarter than him and destroy his self worth. First rich people start getting cognitive augmentations to make them smarter and he goes from being (in his eyes) the smartest guy in the world to just another scientist, then the average person gets these augmentations too while he gets left behind.
