Any RB can get 1000 yards if blockers are good. Why do fans not realize this fact? Rico, Malik, Zeke can all be a 1000 plus yard RB if they have blockers. It's stupid when people look at RB yard average when it doesn't convey reality. Any pro athlete can do it. You don't need to be special, you just need special blockers.

This isn't true and ypc is like the best stat for rbs you can sit here and have 1300 yards but if you have 3.5 yards per carry you probably just get the ball a lot

@@Creston-cm1ji Your comment doesn't make any logical sense. My point I'm making, perhaps you misunderstood my previous post, is that a RB like Alfred Morris in 2012 had 1613 rushing yards and 13 TDs and yet he ran a 4.67 40yd dash which is slow and NEVER WAS SPECIAL whatsoever. But this athlete STILL OUTRAN many of the superior quality RBs that season. HOW? If he is inferior to others, HOW???? Answer= because any decent athlete CAN RUSH FOR 1000 PLUS YARDS if....IF IF IF......they have good blockers!!!! So my point stands, your comment does not, sadly. So to get back to my statement, Rico is comparable to the young Zeke. Malik is like Tony Pollard, Deuce is like Barry Sanders. Any one of these RBs can get 1000 yards IF they have good blocks. Because RBs don't require much. Cowboys are FINE at RB position.

@@Kurt2222 which that isn't true the running back still needs to have vision be able to run through or past tackles if my post didn't make any sense to you then I suggest you read it again just because a running back runs over 1k yards doesn't make him good enough to be a starter yards after contact yards per carry that stuff matters for a rb a lot you have to show that you earned that 1,000 yards do not run behind the good offensive line and do nothing after you get hit say like Ezekiel Elliott if he had 1600 yards again but had 3.8 per carry she would be considered a bad running back that just carried the ball a lot would you look at Zeke's first like 4 years he had a high yards per carry and after contact yards cuz he was ACTUALLY GOOD

You are both right. The original post is stating that we are fine at RB as is, as long as the O-line can block we have RBs that are good enough to excel. Yes stats matter but some of the best RBs to ever play the game have no SB rings. They had great stats but none of that matters if they don’t win. The original poster is simply stating we can win with what we have and can even dominate as long as the line can block.

Not if Zeke gets a majority of the carries... He's experienced, yet hasn't Shown any explosiveness since the 1st contract... Yet, people actually saying that he's a viable starter, after we released him...for not being explosive or very productive. Deuce and Rico should have started last year, because TP was coming off injuries and surgery and not as explosive as normal. Blocking is a big part, but skills ,health, and traits matter too. IMO

It's 2024 with a west coast offense - all these RBs have to be is average, it isn't that damn high of a bar. If the OL can actually move bodies, all we need is average. If we're using these different bodies right, all we need is average.

This man needs to play. I said it last year. They put him in when the game didn’t matter anymore. Either we were getting blown out or we were blowing out the other team. Behind the worst run blocking season Dallas has had in quite some time. Pollard couldn’t even get consistent holes to burst through. And everyone wanted pollard to start the year Zeke was here. Yes he was coming off an injury. But all season the run game was completely off track. Pollard Only had 2 -100 yard rushing games against Arizona (which we lost in) and I think Washington at the end of the season. It was BAD bad last season. I think duece is fully capable of being a starter or a #2 on this team. He played as a starter in Kansas State. And his bud Cooper Bebe will be his center again- who is a mauler! It’s set up for duece to shine and I hope they give him a real opportunity unlike last year. And now he’s had a full offseason to get better, film study, OTA’s now training camp in Oxnard, another preseason. He will only get better

Duece can be in the conversation based on his tape but come on now, 8 backs and McCarthy and or the OC don't know what to do with that type of player, they proved that with Pollard with a shaky line! Plus they about to spend hella money on a QB and Wr, plus a guy that's gotten over a 1000 yards with 2 or 3 different teams and not Dallas and a better qb which is a head scratcher so unless he will be implemented in the passing guy hmmm! I hope they prove me wrong and they use Duece! Plus they will put him in and he averages 6 yards a carry and they will stop giving him the ball!

"So scoot up boys it's gonna be a run, screen, or short yardage pass" = Cut him...Soon.. Dead weight. RB's Zach Evans from Ole Miss and Kenny McIntosh from Univ of Georgia were on the board when Jerry took Vaughn ... sure could use Evans or McIntosh right now.

@@VochLombardi So you think I'm the Riverboat Gambler? Lol .. I saw plenty of Evans in Lane Kiffins offense kickin that axx. You wanna line up Evans, McIntosh, and Vaughn for an Oklahoma Drill?.. Or in the same backfield, same line, same playbook for a head to head? .. the 138lb McMunchkin comes in last. I'm only questioning the decisions of a guy who hasn't seen an NFC championship or Superbowl for 30 years... That's solid ground.
