A little late I know, but the long running catch by Jackson to keep Galarragas perfect game intact.
Man that 2013 team had everything except a consistent bull-pen. Contact hitters to lead off the order, a scary middle of the order, switch hitting DH with some pop and a high average, the athletic SS, the good defensive catcher. Then a crazy talented Pitcher rotation with a either future or former CY Young winner every single night.

It was a perfect game. Even tho that call overturned it, it was a perfect game. They should’ve overturned it in the record books. I know, it’s not as special, but he still deserves the satisfaction and gratitude of pitching a perfect game
Made me sad watching this
That moment with JD Martinez was much more significant than the clip gives it credit for. He'd been on the IL for a while and EVERYONE was anticipating his return that game. It was such a disappointment that he wasn't in the starting lineup, but when he showed up as a pinch hitter, as you can tell by the crowd, it was such a great moment to see him again. Then Chris Sale let him have his moment. Then he delivered that pitch and JD hit it OUT and... man, I watch that game all the time just for that hit.
I remember being in 4th grade in 2012. I had come home from my friends house one fateful October night, and found out that the Tigers had swept the Yankees and made it to the World Series. I was super excited to see my favorite sports franchise of all time play for a ring. I made sure I was gonna be home every night for the World Series. Only to have heartbreak in every game. Losing that World Series was devastating for me. I love the Tigers with all of my heart, and I commend Mr. I for doing everything in on his power to bring Detroit and championship again. But sadly, the team underperformed when it mattered most. Can’t wait to see what the future brings with all of the young talent we have coming up. GO TIGERS 🐯
As we head into mid September 2022, I’m here watching this video so I remember what this feels like. Can’t wait for the day the buzz is back in Comerica

As if you needed anymore reason to love the Rajai Davis Walkoff Grand Slam, at the time of that game, closer Sean Doolittle had yet to blow a save that season. AND he had a 3-run lead. Oh and we were honoring the 84 Tigers that game too.
I’ll never forget that I could watched the game 3 of ALCS at the Comerica Park Great video! From Japan
Cabrera came and he got the job done 2 greats seasons.everyone remember more great memories will eventually just like when we had this hall of fame team.just remember all the fun we had all over these years

Scherzer getting out of that jam in the playoffs with the game on the line is just incredible
I clicked this because I wanted to get pumped, but it just made me sad. So many stars.
In 2013, David Ortiz was the villain that put an end to the tigers remarkable season. I can only tip my cap to him though, Ortiz was unmatched and wrote the history books that day. God I love baseball

Love it but mannnn don’t forget that Avila walk off on Easter we need a part 2!
Though Iglesias was a pain in the dugout, he made some amazing defensive plays!
The Yankees brawl a couple years ago....nuff said.

It was pure MAGIC!!!
this made me cry :(

So many years post ‘86 the city starved for a competitive ball club. This run proceeding the mid 2000s teams make us truly appreciate when times like this stretch run are had. My father was the Channel 2 sports anchor in ‘84 and hadn’t been excited for the team until their resurgence. It will be a shame if the reports about Chris Ilitch are true, robbing Cabrera of his final years and failing the fans and players with stubbornness to spend any money. His father would roll over in his grave if so, purely out of passion for our fan base.
My childhood
Gotta love the big man!!!!
the final inning. Our ace closer Juan Valverde hit the mound 4 one more clutch series of outs standing between us and advancing to the ALCS. The score was 3-0 from a 2 run shot from Prince and a Tori Hunter RBI double that followed. Brandon Moss doubles before Coco Crisp walks to 1st base. That became the worst possible situation 4 any reliever in 2012 : go up against the winner of the home run derby, Yoenis Cespedes. On the second pitch he blasts it just barely a couple feet 2 clear the wall in far left field. Tie game with 0 outs. Josh Reddick ends up coming up huge with a full count with 2 outs and the winning run waiting at 3red. Base hit right up the gap and another road game in Oakland on the horizon. With red hot momentum they manage 2 hand us our asses firmly forcing game 5 in Detroit. This game ended up being my favorite Tiger game I saw in the postseason hands down. It was a legendary pitchers dual between Justin Verlander and young Cy Young candidate Sonny Gray. The game was knotted at 1 run a piece until the final inning with extra innings looming on. Cabrera did his thing at the perfect moment on a 0-2 count with Tori Hunter on base. 3-1 was the final score n we were about hit the road again 2 face the # 1 seed Texas Rangers

My favorite Tigers Moments in the 2010s The Near Perfect Game VS Cleveland (2010) Justin Verlander's No Hitter VS Toronto (2011) Miguel Cabrera Triple Crown Season (2012) Max Scherzer Cy Young Season (2013) Tigers clinching their fourth straight AL Central (2014) J.D Martinez winning Sliver Slugger (2015) Tigers comeback against the Tampa Bay Rays (2016) Justin Upton's Walk Off vs White Sox (2017) P.S I was at this game with my mother Jacoby Jones robbing Adrian Beltre vs Rangers (2018) Trading Shane Greene and Nick Castellanos (2019)
I remember the week when Galarraga got screwed, I went to a tigers twins game in MIN, and he threw me a ball as I was the only tigers fan in the section that he saw me, well my dad too
I always cite the Cleveland game at Cleveland. Pouring rain. Carlos (forget last name) is pitching lights out, but Cleveland is not scoring any runs either. 8th inning Cabrera at bat, battles at the at bat, pitcher is making great pitches. Finally connects, straight away center HR. The battle between pitcher and batter, the rain, just a great at bat.

We had the wings winning cups in late 90s early 2000s. Then the pistons came together in 2002-2008 winning a championship. Wings again in 09. Tigers for a decade straight were so fun. My favorite memory is when mags went deep to win the pennant. It still bugs me that the tigers didn’t get that World Series. Hopefully better times are coming because for the first time in history all Detroit sports teams are in a rebuild and are all bottom dwellers. This city needs our teams to get back to on top where they belong. Its been way too long since any team has had a winning season. I’m optimistic that the tigers are heading in right direction finally. A couple more years is the hope. Atleast to being competitive.

I’m looking at 2019 as the 03, even though that squad was way better than 03. So 2020 could’ve been a 65-97 season, an awful bullpen would’ve led us to a top 5 pick. Next year we r looking to finish around 65-73 wins, Avila needs to spend big if we want to be contenders this summer or 2022 to be the 2006 of the process, the rebuild that was marked to finish in 2022 could be pushed back a year if he refuses to spend big 🤦🏽♂️
