Berggren has scored the GWG in each game for the Griffins. the GAME WINNING GOAL. Whoever put the idea in Berggren's head that he is primarily a playmaker shouldn't be employed in hockey. he had about 3 inches in between the goalies head and the post, and he banked it in OFF OF THE GOALIES HEAD. Berggren is a special player.

The problem is his Defense game has nothing to do with him scoring goals. I don’t think he really wants to be here anymore, he played 63 games or more because of injuries and played the rest of the season in the NHL and got demoted because SY only wants to get into the playoffs and the young players need to get Experience not blocked or we are going to see a lot of them want to be traded, I think he needs to get his head out of.!!!? And focus on the the real rebuild. He is being KH2.0.

Born in 1974 and my awesome dad and his family ( who r full Meti and my mom who is Irish / Scotish and English ) were full on Canadians fans ( entire family ) but my dad fell in luv with a player in the Quebec Junior league named Steve Yzerman who was 16 years old at the time and it's crazy my dad actually spent weekends traveling to watch him play when Stevie went to the Peterborough Pete's in 1979/80 , my Ole man would talk about Yzerman like he was family , 1982 my dad made a decision that would not only change my life but his life and say to our family that wherever Yzerman goes that's our new team ... my mom and 2 sisters were a 100% no , till this day they r Canadians fans but me and Dad r 100% Redwings fans and have never looked back , Redwing r about to become a modern day dynasty and me an my dad (77 years old ) r gonna celebrate with U guys multiple more Cups wher as the MAPLE LEAFS and ther loser fans won't celebrate shit 😂😂😂😂

Larsson wasn't moved away from too quickly. I was excited about him. He fell apart once the AHL and ECHL killed his confidence. He was graduated from NCAA too quickly. I was wrong about that decision myself.

Nobody is excited for a bottom 6 Berggren but I will say I wouldn't doubt that when the current contracts are set to expire might be when you should be expecting rookies to move now which is dumb to say but I wouldn't put it past Yzerman to have thought of the timing in advance. Given the cap space is improving I will agree we need the firepower and we need their tenure to be solid. Also I love when karma slaps you guys though; Boston just spanked Florida and proved Bob is human so looks like there won't be a waxing Brad, Florida might have a tougher time than expected. Also I love how you guys excuse Toronto for the OT goal; the Sundin brothers make a living off that exact play and Pasta is just as skilled as those two for sure. I don't think Boston deserves to win the cup this year but if they make it to the scf then they might have that weird underdog momentum. If I included my picks for the cup Boston would be at the bottom but they have the team to make it work for sure and it pains me to say that.

Dangle brought this up, with big stipulations, would you take Tavares at ~$6-7 mil for a 2nd/3rd tier prospect? I doubt he wants to leave but Detroit might be close enough for JT. It's interesting to me but idk if I'd pull the trigger.

They need to learn. I don’t care about the playoffs i would have more fun watching the Team play giving the Youngsters who are ready a chance to play and learn. We have two players who are going to take up cap space and we need to play the Prospects and Kane coming back is not a good thing by SY especially when he is taking being more Defensively responsible. We need the players who are going to make it happen. I guarantee they have 3 players that are better than 6 players on the team. It’s SY being just like his Predecessor.

It seemed the Leafs started to play a defensive style of hockey when they got down 3-1. They did a good job but a little to late.

I have heard Mark Hunter going to Columbus as GM - he will trade for and Mitch Marner will go. He has no move but for that - and the likelihood of being miserable in Toronto I think he will go. I don't know what you guys thought but leafs were playing totally different game later games in the series - I think Guy Boucher was taking control. I don't think he will be the Head coach though but it was just such a kick in the nuts that they were actually playing a tight checking tough to play against style - and they got torpedoed by that bad coverage on a basic shoot in - but props to Pastrnak for wanting it more

A few thoughts... * Toronto losing, in game seven, in overtime, against Boston... look, I know a couple truly incredible Leafs fans who aren't anything at all like the average Twitter "fans", but holy hell, I laughed so hard, I'm pretty sure I woke the neighbors. Boston clearly isn't 100%, and I think Florida is going to destroy them. I don't think Boston truly dominated a game in that series, and would go so far as to say the Leafs are the team that deserved to advance. * Youth movement? Don't expect it. We're not loading up on kids, no matter how many lose waiver exemption. We might go with 1-2 rookies next season. Anything more, and I'll question whether or not our goal is actually playoffs. * The more I think about Marner, the more I'm inclined to agree that getting him out of Toronto will see his level of play and overall attitude improve. The biggest factor isn't his NMC or possible trade value, it's his cap hit. Who has room for a $10m player? The list of teams who can afford that is short.

If Simon doesnt make the starting roster, i will lost my shit. He shouldve been up this season way sooner, and there's no reason besides injury that he shouldnt be there. Steve painted himself into this corner by making so many signings and saying that he rookies could earn a roster spot. He is in a tough spot now. Team was on the edge of making the playoffs and the fans expectations are very high to make the playoffs next year. If he signs more vets to the roster, and not have an opening for prospects to make the team, we shall call him Steve Holland.

the signings never made sense - and let's not say that these rookies earn spots - there is no way Edvinsson was not one of the better Defensemen in camp - not better than Holl? seriously? come on - same with Johansen - he has all he needs but experience at NHL speed and size. I am not one of these guys that says - Yzerman is bad GM should be fired - like a lot of these delusional fans. BUT can we now at least acknowledge that Jim Nill was the best GM the red wings had - and we let him walk out the door. Look at what he has done with Dallas - over and over again - draft? trade? - it's not even close.
