4 of these with saimese reduction gear and 2 3-71 gen sets all running 1800 rpm..... on a boat. no wonder I can't hear any more. Fuel hog's and smokey oil fog from blow by always wiping down the blow by. But 2700 rpm and peek under the insulation cover for the turbo's nice warn glow. Pryo meter @ 1400oF tells me to slow it down and reduce the load..... Tides and Heavy seas all week long .... Oh what fun , burp diesel at dinner and everything is smelling of Diesel. USN....
