    as a lesbian I almost went down that road, but I had a therapist who refused to acknoledge me as not being a woman and that somehow clicked for me and I realized my problems with myself weren't rooted in me being trans or in a wrong body. thanks for telling your story, I hope it reaches young women that consider transitioning

    Thank you! I’m thankful for your therapist. Too many people nowadays are having lots of regrets because of their decisions. I’m hoping that this video can prevent, or at least decrease, the number of people going through this situation.

    It´s so hard finding a therapist who tells us the truth, or at least makes us see other frames... and in some countries this can take out his or her license :(

    Thank you for doing this. It was honest and brave. It makes me so angry that there were not caring people available to help you deal with some of the trauma before you did something so drastic. But - big BUT - there can still be healing and help and growth and life. Self love doesn't quite go far enough - knowing you are loved by the God who created you (perfect) is the life changer. What you have walked through, though brutal, can help many others in a similar position.

    Living in today's society Men are constantly devalued, criticized & burdened with unrealistic expectations to be Superman. Life doesn't get easier transitioning from a female to a male, it just introduces a new set of challenges. Learning, Growth & Self Love are unavoidable experiences every Individual will deal with in life. Make peace, keep moving forward & enjoy your life.

    It's very sad that some of us grow up feeling like we have to change ourselves rather than learn to love ourself for who we are... I am VERY glad that you went down the route that didn't require editing your body in any way. I accepted being a tomboy more as I was younger, but then... I'm not really sure what happened. We all learn lessons though I suppose! Happy for you!

    While detransitioning how does it feel with no breast? I mean no harm. I'm generally curious

  • @thefoodcrier

    @thefoodcrier

    Жыл бұрын

    It's very difficult to accept. I am still coming to terms with the fact that I got a double mastectomy for cosmetic reasons. I now know a handful of people who had no choice but to remove their breasts, and having met these people, it has given me a different perspective on the thought of cosmetic surgery. Sometimes, very rarely, I get a small remembrance of them, as if I still had them. Kind of like "ghost limbs" except it is such a fleeting feeling. That feeling brings sadness, because there has been a lot of grieving over the loss of them, and I am STILL going through this process. Of course, the back pain has decreased... but all in all, I do regret the surgery and it is not something I recommend unless medically needed. It comes with a LOT of grieving and sadness and emotional pain.

    Thank you! Yes, it's a long story... I need to do an update video. I still "identify as male" because I still have a lot of trauma around accepting my natural gender as it is (female). I have this weird thing where I still identify as "male" in public; I only allow my girlfriend to mix up my pronouns because I trust her. At this point, how I identify is just based upon how safe I feel in any given environment, which I'm STILL working on.
