I played baseball with Chris as a kid and he loved the car washes we'd put on to raise money. He just didnt want them to end. It was pretty crazy, he'd run one most weekends for fun and even during the winter he wanted me to help him put on a carwash. We lived in Minnesota and it would be freezing and he didnt care. Good to see him still washing cars.

I'd say he's reached the pinnacle of car washing. Level complete.
I'm not going to watch a 23 minute video on washing a car... 23 minutes later: Wait, is that it? Nothing earth-shattering I didn't already know, but this video is just awesome. Great explanations and demo. Perfect amount of information without rushing or been boring. These guys rock and Jay is the best as usual! Thanks!

Jay is the benchmark for all things automotive - history, collectors value, maintenance/care/detailing and just pure enjoyment - wonderful stuff!
These guys are as dedicated, knowledgeable and detail-oriented in cleaning your cars as your mechanics are with repairing and maintaining them. Amazing work!
I love this type of video and seeing the professionalism of these guys.
I can't believe how good that paint looks for a car this age. Simply remarkable

Great demo/tutorial! Seeing the masking process, and the polisher demos were really helpful for me.
Looks at filthy car outside. Decides to watch Jay having his car cleaned.

@@terry94131 The good news Terry, your truck and Buick may look like they came from Jay's garage! He wouldn't miss those two. Tim Allen says Jay has 600+ vehicles with some outside and others in storage. The bathroom in his building is the size of my 1 & 1/2 car garage. I lost my big garage when moving here but the wife wanted it. It is sunny in his garage. It's the glow from 130+ trickle chargers.
It is healing to see a car wash/detailing job turns a car from "please clean me" into "look at me!"
Clay bar and using a polisher has been extremely stressful to me and so I never did it, but now I feel better about it and will try my hand at it over the next few weekends....a sincere thank you to your guys and yourself for making this video.

Beautiful car in every way. Thx Jay and crew
Jay, you're team is pushing out contents like a champ!
The 356 looks fantastic in Black! I think the 918 looks best in Black too!
Would love to see a full detail of the Carrera GT - including engine bay cleaning!
These guys are PRO'S Just beautiful results.
Great job, the car looks amazing.
I love seeing these cars you wouldn’t normally see on the streets and see them here on the channel. From the earliest electric cars through VW bugs all the way to Ferrari and the newest McLaren. But. My heart still is with the 1000bhp Olds Toronado.
I would love to see the detailing of the Lamborghini countach. I really enjoy your content Jay

Chris and Jeremy, you guys are true professionals. I studied the application process for a DIY normal everyday driver.
As Jay said in a previous video, he most often just dusts off the cars to not put any water to it, but actually exactly this creates such terrible swirl marks.A wet car dried with microfibre cloth and then driven to dry out certainly will not be damaged by a water cleaning.
@theundergroundlairofthesqu9261

I think he's worried about rust in the nooks and crannies, and that's why he doesn't like water.

@@theundergroundlairofthesqu9261 in such a climate like California, after a wahs, driving the car dry during 10 minutes or let it 15 minutes in the sun cures any humidity at once, so not a real argument. In Northern Europe's terrible climate it's another question
Jay, since you asked, I'd like to see your Pierce Arrow detailed, because my maternal grandfather worked at the Pierce Arrow plant on Elmwood Ave. in North Buffalo--he might have worked on your car. 🙂
I really enjoyed these videos. Those two guys are great and very natural on camera.

The Porsche 356 Carrera 2000 GS happens to be my favorite car in Jay's collection. The video revealed a lot of important detailing advice that prioduced fantastic results. Jay looks slimmer.
One of the most beautiful cars ever made. If you have a Ferrari 250 Lusso that'd be nice to see detailed, especially those borani wire wheels!
At 12:00 the Detailer mentions maybe going to a Body Shop to test the polisher on an old an old body part. That's a good idea, or you could do what I do, which is to test my polisher on my neighbors car.

Thanks for sharing, its a beautiful car. well done everyone.
What a car, Thank you Jay, those guys work magic, not as easy as it looks
The OCD displayed in this video is very satisfying.
Great video on how to detail a black finish. Thanks.
One of the best things about detailing your own vehicle is you can often catch little problems before they become big ones. On my motorcycles, for example, it seemed there was always a fastener or two working itself loose. It's mostly simple, mindless work, and for me at least, very therapeutic.
I've been using your products for quite some time. I like them.
Love this channel, and I love everything you post on youtube..
Of all the cars Jay has that’s my favorite. I have been trying to buy one for 40 years. Even when 356’s were affordable, this was a fortune and so hard to maintain.
Heyyyy, You stole my bingo dauber method of applying the Polish to the pad & body 😂, 30 years !
To be fair Jay, this process is easier said than done . The first time l used a polishing machine on my mk 2 M.G Midget way back in the warly '70's l left burn marks all over the place ! Back then it was T-Cut or Brasso and coarse cutting compound and very heavy , single speed machines . But practise makes perfect .....so they say ! Since then l've won many accolades for my restoration skills . And today we have a miriad of machines and polishs for all finshes . Thankyou Jay.
Very satisfying. Thanks, guys!✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦
god, this is master piece, love this car so much, my dream car
Great job guys 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Absolutely helpful and entertaining to see it be brought back to like new 👍👍
its funny that i just got my driving licence and im looking for a 1k car and im looking at those works of art 🤭 Anyway You're the best Jay , always remember that 🚗🌹
Amazing detailing beautiful job
That Porsche is so beautiful and now even more classy and elegant. And I don't even like black cars because they are so difficult to keep them clean and shiny. Nice work guys 👏👌💨🏁
Thanks for sharing Jay! Enjoyed the VW video.💯👊👍
Mr. Leno ..Outstanding...!
These 2 guys truly look like car detailers!
Another great J Leno video
Great job guys 🎉 , more detailing vids please !
I worked at several carwashes as a kid. Even got to drive a Pantera off the line. One of the highlights.
Looks awesome 👏
The products look Jay Leno's garage are making the Porsche fantastic. I love the creeper chair
Love to see the contach done
Great job!
When I was in college in the early 1960's the 356 was my dream car. My first Porsche was a 1971 911-E which was a great car but today at 81 I would still like to have a 356.
Awesome!!!
Gorgeous little car. I would love to see the new Ford GT detailed. Stay awesome!!!
I love this car.
It's very helpful, and great job, I just hate putting machines on a finish, unless VERY careful and skilled.
Great video, thanks. I would have loved to see the cleaning of the wheel wells. I’ve just purchased a ‘64 356SC “driver” that needs plenty of detailing and I have lots to learn. Interior detailing information from these very professional guys would be cool too!
Beautiful porsche!!
You guys make it look so easy!! ;-)
Good morning. Very cool and helpful video. If I may suggest I would like to see the guys do a detail job on the 1999 Corvette you have. Take care my friends and keep these wonderful videos coming.
Hey Jay! How about detailing one of your Steam Cars like the Doble or White. With so many different materials, brass, leather, paint and chrome it might be a lot of fun to see that done!
Gorgeous car.
Wow, pretty high level of bathing your car. It’s all good. Great job
Detail one of the brass era cars!!! 😍
Beautiful car.
Excellent "how to" video. I've seen others on this topic, but the explanations of the "why" for the steps is quite helpful. The specific multi-bucket technique and the comments on clay mitts vs pads were enlightening. As the owner of an older black Porsche this video was inspirational - just maybe I can get my car looking close to that good. Btw - did they wax the car? I am curious about Chris' recommendations about waxing the car, both materials and techniques.
Products and techniques worked well; quite noticeable difference.
This is exactly how I wash and detail my Corolla every Friday afternoon. Nice job guys!!!

The Bugatti Atlantic type 57 would be a real treat to see detailed!! Great video Jay 🎉
Nice to see that they claimed that they would wash it before they do a paint correction rather than just "wiping it down" before polishing like they did on the McLaren. Maybe they just had a check up from the neck up to basic car detailing protocol. ...regardless to them justifying why they did not clean the McLaren.
❤great video
The 70s soft-core p 0 r n music makes this perfect with my Saturday-morning coffee.
Jay, would love to see a wash and detailing of a classic motorcycle. With its insides exposed, I’ve always found it more difficult than washing a car. Also worried there will be hidden moisture/eventual rust so I rarely wash. Thanks!
Maybe detailing one of the older cars from the 30s or 20s could be interesting. Especially with the bodywork from the era.
Jay’s ceramic car wash keeps my cars beading and shiny for a year. It’s remarkable stuff.
Please do more of these how-to videos.
Great video! Mike from Missouri
How about detailing the Citroen SM? Such an interesting car.
I clean car and I learned some good tips keep up the good work
Good show.
I would love to see your team do a full detail on a motorcycle with lots of chrome.
I buy your stuff at Walmart and use it on my Vette. Good stuff! Wife loves the smell!
I guess a man has made it well in life if you're bucket has logo on it while others clean and detail your Porsche. Nice.
Love yeah Jay
Time for a ride out on the streets of LA.
Back in the mid 90s I would use Murphy’s oil soap for the older cars. It did its job for what for what I needed.
Nice car
Good work, inspired me to detail my 1990 MX5, unless you can send the guys over to Australia to do it for me.
Great video Jay! 🍪
Jay, did you use any ceramic sealer on top after the polishing? And- how about a video on cleaning up any of the challenger's that you have. Thanks for the info you provide!
