I have a 99 328i and it only goes into limp mode when I put the pedal all the down but once it's into limp mode I have to constantly turn it on and off until it goes away and my check engine light will go completely off and it drives fine certain times. The only thing I could think it could be is battery is done and it can't pull enough power for car to maintain as I've recently got oil change and oil service reset as I thought it was that but nope. Any help is really appreciated 🙏

If you think it may be the battery, you should be able to have an advance auto, auto zone, or oriellys do a battery test. They can also check to see if any engine codes are thrown. That will help troubleshoot the problem. 👍

Strange. Not sure what could be wrong if you checked the same stuff so showed in the video. Only thing I can suggest is to check all systems related to P1635 and P0341. I’d look for ways to test components one at a time instead of just replacing parts that may not be bad. Falling into that trap will set you back loads of $$$ and possible still not fix the root cause.

DSC is BMW's dynamic stability control. In the e46, this will actually decrease throttle when the ECU detects wheel slippage. You can read more about it here: www.bmwblog.com/2009/02/06/what-is-and-how-dsc-works/

@@Itsallaboutthebuild I believe a 2005 bmw 325xi has this issue. It came to me in limp mode, 127k on it. Random missfires and lean condition. It was way over due for all the vacuum lines, coil packs, plugs, ccv, so I replaced it all. Runs great for about 15 minutes of driving, then shuts down into limp mode. Reset the light, runs great again, until you drive it. The traction control light is on. It must be this problem, because everything else is good? Any thoughts?

@@joneich1591 I would check for what codes are being thrown with an OBD II scanner. This will help pinpoint if there’s a bad sensor causing the issue. I believe DSC pulls readings from a few sensors. When I’ve experienced DSC making adjustments, it doesn’t put the car into full limp mode, but only reduces throttle response while it detects wheel slippage. Also make sure all your vacuum lines are good.
