Same! When it was originally put on, they said the paint was fresh and it would darken and match once it cured... I was like "NO IT WONT!", lol! The only way to fix that is respray it and hope they can get it close, or do it properly and blend the paint. Personally, I would've left the stock hood, which also fits much better!

I'd still take it lol

Same on the first car, it was never close.

You can bleed that clutch by just putting the long bleed hose into the reservoir and just pump the clutch (make sure fluid level doesn't get low) and this makes it a 1 person job. Just a little trick of the trade. Keep up the awesome content, one of my favourite channels guys. 👍😎

Sad about the old one because a lot of hours were put on it. But I’m so proud of the team to be able to rebuild this so fast! I might enter the giveaway and buy something from y’all.

Good job taking care of this the right way. But please get that hood resprayed. The mismatch is pretty bad.

I feel your pain, we spent literally 2 years turning an old 1991 Ford escort lx 1.3 litre 2 door into an escort RS cosworth replica with a turbo 2.0 black top zetec only for it to be damaged beyond repair when it was knocked off the side of a flat bed pick up by an articulated lorry on its way to VOSA for a VIC (vosa in the uk is Vehicle and Operator Services Agency under the department of transportation) the real kicker was it was hit by a Polish lorry driver (or so we were told) who was only passing through the uk, both him and the haulage company he worked for just vanished ?? We never recovered any of the money as we did not have insurance, pointless insuring a vehicle that has no VIC, no log book, no Road tax and no MOT, my god we were wrong 🤣🤦‍♂️

I’d say keep the chipped wheels as an homage to the original build. (Provided that wheels aren’t warped.) 😅

Im glad to see you guys using more rattle guns undoing/doing bolts Plus at around 15:35-15:45 you can see that bonnet is such a different shade of yellow, drive the car to the panel shop and show them then get them to colour match and respray the bonnet to the car, may aswell have left it exposed carbon

Nice job on making the effort to address the heads, especially once you start modding. It's worth the effort, especially on a giveaway car.

It took totaling the car to address the valves. That’s crazy. Well at least they finally acknowledged the problem and fixed it

The hood being a different shade of yellow would bug the shit out of me

Fun fact- The chevy cobalt SS has 1 item that it shares with the corvette. The steering wheel.

It didn't match on the first car either, not even close.

Wrap the halo in gloss black instead of matter black...the valves are also hollow and like to break and fall into the cylinder...get 1 piece valves

I've been thinking that I keep hearing the same background songs all the time, (not that they are bad or nothing) noticed a lot of new bangers the last couple of videos, especially in this one, paired with some nice shots/b-rolls. My dad’s a television repair man, he’s got an ultimate set of tools 🧰 he can fix it 🤘😎🤘

I had the clutch replaced, and the tech was a "While I'm In There" guy who replaced a perfectly good rear main seal. Only, he fucked it up and it leaked like mad. The guy had to pull the trans, clutch, and flywheel to change the rear main seal properly. If it's dry, just leave it alone.

With the original car it would be awesome to see a budget street drift build

You guys deserve to go on a team vacation, everyone just takes off to a location and have a great time. Love all the videos but would also like to see you guys getting some time off to reset and enjoy the fruits of your hard work..
