    In case it wasn't obvious, I was joking about Destroked being owned by Ford. This is also not a review of all Destroked products, just their abilities to build a custom wiring harness.

    Interesting for people out there that don't know, that Ford had 24 valve cummins in their f550 and f650. Finding a truck like that at a truck wrecking yard should give you a harness and ecm to communicate with the pcm made by Ford! Just food for thought.

    can anyone tell me what hes talking about or what im missing at 8:05 with the relay.. i understand the FSS and how the relay has a pull and hold coil with their own relays and that the pull is suppose to activate for 10seconds or so when the key gets turned on then goes out.. it pulls what 40-50amps you cant put that through a push button in the cab and you cant run that power continuously through the FSS or itll be toast so whats he upto? seems like he pinned it to be always on and not act like a relay but more like just an always closed switched or well just a piece of wire at that point just jump the wires together... but then you have 50amps cooking your fss whenever the keys on or maybe even when the keys off

I've heard rumor of the old 12v 5.9 being bulletproof, and I heard a rumor that you can change the motor oil and then toss it in the fuel tank and it'll not miss a beat, any known truth to that?

    What do you think of the 7.3 powerstroke Great vid love the 12 valve

  • @DEBOSSGARAGE

    @DEBOSSGARAGE

    8 жыл бұрын

    When I put down powerstrokes, I generally mean the 6.0, 6.4. The 6.7 is a better engine but is expensive. The 7.3 is pretty well on its way out. It was a very dependable engine and I have seen one of the fleets in town bring many 7.3's over 1 million km. They are a bit sluggish but not all of us are in a race. The biggest flaws were plastic return line fittings over the injectors that got brittle quick and leak. If you don't wait for the "wait to start" light to go out, cold fuel hit the glow plugs and burnt them out right away and it has trouble starting without the glow plugs. By far the most reliable Powerstroke.

    If you have a junk powerstroke, you can open it up and take the reluctor gear out and machine it on the front pulley like I do in the Silverado's. Other than that, use your PS coolant and oil sensors, hook the VE up to key power, and use the Dodge Alternator with an external voltage regulator from Pre-87 and there is nothing else to it.

    And Chevy hasn't been in the medium duty game for awhile so idk how Ford could out sell a company that isn't involved in many industries and when they are it's 4500 and 450s vs a 3500hd

    Bear's End Productions I've seen plenty of oilfield workers and loggers who love the Chevy 3500hd ik plenty who hate all 3 and drive internationals independent front is strong idk why people act like extreme offloading a straight axle is better when many off road logging trucks use a completely solid front axle and still destroy them along with straight and independent front suspension. The 3500hd is a truck that's been proven to compete with the f450 and ram 4500 as I've been seeing those get replaced by Chevy 3500hds a lot here for pipeline workers and road crews who destroy absolutely everything here. But then again i seen a 50s Chevy medium duty doing the work the modern Ford mopar and Chevy guys won't do to often

    I love your videos. The POS vehicles on the road pay your bills. Like I asked before, why do folks keep supporting junk makers?

    There are people that think that that truck is worth putting a Cummins into, just think about that for a minute. Side note those interiors are by far the worst interiors of any vehicle i have ever seen bar none, super flimsy too.

    Replacing a 6.0 with a 5.9 is a down grade now you have a slower less powerful truck.

    whats a 6.0 make 300hp and 550ftlbs.. can make a 12v ppump do 250horsepower and 650ftlbs for less than 200$ in parts and an afternoons work, or make it do 350hp and 800ftlbs for about 1000$ and a long weekend of tinkering and itll do that for half a million not half a hundred thousand... they have 12v making 2000hp at the wheels you can make the truck do whatever you want.. dodges stock auto trans behind the 12v was the weak link
