@@bsaintnyc Tldr; don't make blanket statements like that, it could make you look dumb. That's a weird generalization. I grew up in an oddly concentrated space of conservatives and the majority were content with the liberal government's decisions. Obviously not the ideal for them, but not undoing is better than undoing a previous government's changes. Your statement sounds like you looked up the basic doctrine of a conservative (which is less government over all) and then applied that to your critical understanding of how they function. I'm not trying to insult either, I've just got a strange interpretation perhaps of what you said. That's no different than a conservative saying that liberals like to be under the thumb of government, so much so that they're blind to the decisions being made. Obviously liberals pay attention. Obviously they don't want to be smothered. But seeing the basic doctrine of more government could draw the same conclusions.

His example I believe is mostly in reference to sports where they often say trans women should compete with regular women because they know a there are a few women out there that could beat the average man. • @KissMyConverseFool

@@andrewashworth8327 no, there's nothing wrong with destiny's argument at all. The birth rate drops in wealthy countries because wealthy people have smaller families. This is true in other countries that have TRIED birth incentives and it's true in countries where the social safety nets are better than the US and lower the lifetime cost of children. Rearing kids is an exhausting process and people who have the option don't put their bodies or their social lives through having more than 1-2 children. If you know the odds are very good your children will live, you have fewer. If you need less medium term household labor, you have fewer kids. If the childrearing cycle is extended and includes the early 20s and post secondary education life phases, you are going to do less parenting and make it more targeted. If you can afford good planning and birth control and it's available you use it. NONE of these arguments are addressed by tax incentives. You're being VERY charitable to try to rephrase the argument as related to opportunity cost. The guy ultimately never made a cogent explanation of how or why his proposal would work, or even granting that, why it would be more desirable than allowing immigration. He also never addressed the point the person made in the Q and A about the time frame - workers in 18 years does NOTHING for a labor shortage now.

its easy to win debates, when you're debating fact vs "im gonna make stuff up, so i can do weird shit and feel like im apart of some weird little group" which is what most of the debates are now. and why certain people, who debate truth.. arent ever going to be made to look stupid, because they arent debating a personal opinion. most of andrews core arguments come from the Bible.. so automatically.. hes not going to lose, unless he misrepresents the Bible. the same with matt walsh.. and ben shapiro.. kinda.. he seems to have morals, which are similar morals to Christians. but yeah, point being.. when you're arguing for the truth.. vs newly formed ideas that arent even a hundred years old... its going to be an easy win for anyone. its not that they arent debating the right people.. its that the people debating them are trying to disprove moral fact. and their opponents are trying to tell people that its okay to be immoral. thats the core of their argument. you can be trans, you can be gay, you can be selfish and not start a family, blah blah blah.. all they're arguing for, is for the right to sin. pretty wild stuff. how hard could it be, debating someone who doesnt know theres a difference between men and women? yeah... thats kindergarten level knowledge. that these people have purposely forgotten, so that they can continue to sin and act immoral.. then try to argue with people about it, as though they're ever going to win. @@CrawfishDeluxe

I think it may be unconscious ego protection. Either that or he really is just that stupid and I don't think that's the case. You see this a lot when atheists debate creationists. The creationist often refuses to acknowledge factual information out of an existential fear that accepting that point will prove wrong something the creationist has built their identity around. In other words it's not so much that the creationist really believes evolution is fake. It's that if they acknowledge that evolution is true their entire ego could collapse and they would be forced to face up to the fact that something they built their life and thus identity around is a lie. So they continue to believe evolution is fake as a means of ego protection not because evolution is fake. In Andrews case it may be white supremacy in place of evolution.

Destiny makes a point about automation of jobs referring to kiosks at McDonald's and Andrew is over here talking about how fixing the machine would take a low-skilled laborer. He's honestly out of touch with reality if he thinks someone with a high school education is the one who's going to be responsible for dealing with complicated circuitry and software malfunctions. Not to mention those people are unlikely to be hired 24/7 like a normal cashier, for instance. I also think his views are pretty incompatible with one another if he's steadfastly against outsourcing, automation of jobs, and importing low-skilled workers, yet at the same time claims to be in favor of capitalism. @@Fantazy1028 Yes but people like the guy Destiny is debating don't believe in the democratic process so why should they give a shit what people participating in the system think? /pol/ is proof that if you just say you hate blacks over and over and that you want a racewar is enough to gain an audience. It may not be a very large audience but if you don't believe in democracy then you don't need as big of a tent as possible, you just need to be willing to commit violence to enact your goals and then you'll naturally attract extremists. The Blackshirts only had about 30,000 people with them when they marched on Rome and antifascist protestors could do nothing to stop them as the fascists would indiscriminately murder anyone that stood against them. It's like that one guy said, "screw your optics I'm going in" and look what he accomplished compared to people on the internet arguing, or the NZ guy who just made it all look like a game to him. You don't need a lot of people to do a lot of damage.

I worked in a Panera Bread for 4 years while going to school. They used to pay people to literally stand behind a cash register for the entirety of their shift, because other than pick-up orders or catering(which were minimal), that was the only source of orders, which equals sales, which means managers could keep more employees on the clock. Once the self ordering kiosks were put in, they didn’t have to pay people to do that anymore, and the amount of cashiers they had on staff was significantly reduced. The food industry is already notorious for sending people home early if there’s nothing going on purely to save labor. You’d think somebody claiming to be advocating for “American workers” like this chud would be a little less out of touch.

I prefer it this way, personally. Every twitch chat in existance has planetary-sized mob mentality and Destiny's even more so. So tired of looking at arrogant idiots omegalululing everything the other guy says, but if they actually had to take Destiny's place and have the argument alone, 99% of them would have a mental breakdown, unable to stumble past even a few sentences.

Really sucks that people are so afraid to debate nowadays. It's pretty obvious to me that Destiny is starting to take a more calm approach to debates, and I feel like if people were truly good faith they wouldn't hide behind excuses like Destiny being 'toxic' when it comes to why they don't debate Destiny.

@@superDUPERman102 that's exactly how we feel about you. It's always the "same stupid takes" because the problems are so obvious. The left just refuses to accept even the most basic and obvious concepts. Dont like the rain? The left can solve that they will just call it something else and bingo...never have to deal with rain again.
