    It's not necessary true. For example, age is extremely important. I literally refuse to date. For me, it's mostly stands from the expectations women have for men & female behavior. Just look around. You can't expect anything from a woman. Men on the other hand have to do everything. I have to work like a horse supporting her & I have to entertain her. And I know exactly what will happen, if I get married. I will be working 12 hours a day to make money & massage her & cook & clean.... And she will be complaining that I don't love her & dont spend time with her.... So at some point she will start sleeping around, & one day she will take the kids & leave. And she will accuse me of some sort of emotional/sexual abuse. Dude, just look at the "good" married guys. They look like the abused animals.

If it’s so inherent to the very atoms of their DNA then why do you have to try to force them to be this way, shouldn’t they just automatically be this way and not need any convincing or coercion?

    I mean it's pretty simple. Women don't just have kids for fun, they are not stupid. The economy makes it hard/risky to have a kid and the isolation puts women away from other children of other friends/family/neighbors. I know it's kind of a meme that getting a child is contagious in a friend group and that's because people often think of children as a time/money burden first, and as a child second. And it's not just a woman thing, it's just more pronounced in women since they are the ones baring the children.

Would have rather been a latchkey kid because both my parents were working, rather than be a latchkey kid because my mother had a nervous breakdown and left my overbearing father and became heavily involved in drugs. All feminism is to me is women wanting to have equal opportunity to have self-determination and agency over their own futures, whether it's to be a stay-at-home wife and/or mother or a working woman or both. Everything else is pretty much dust.

Although before i was born she and my dad started a business and both of them would go clean houses together until they were able to hire people. But once me and my sister was born she chose to stay home and raise us while my father took care of the business. She never was misrible and to this day she says it was one of the single joys in her life. Working a 9-5 of climbing the corporate latter isnt always what its cracked up to be either and i feel like our culture tells us it is and it is what will make me happy. I did the 9-5 grind for 10 years, all i wanted at that point was to not have to work and settle down and have babies . I watched my mom work hard day in and out to provide the kind life she wanted. One of my sisters is married and running the house with her husband. My other sister is supporting my mom. And I'm just about to finish my degree and will work a job and maybe get married after a while. So yeah just because a woman is working doesnt mean her family doesn't come first. Hilarious that he thinks that just because a woman works, it means that her children are being raised by a nanny. *eye roll* I have so many friends with kids where both parents work, and their children are NOT raised by nannies. They go to preschool and get their socialization, and they spend time with grandma and grandpa. And the parents are not absent - they are very obviously present in their children’s lives, help them with homework, etc… just because you work doesn’t mean you don’t have any time for your kids.

  • @hypovisor

    @hypovisor

    Hard core agree with this. it can certainly be a privilege but utilizing grandparents, preschool, nannies can be a great way to "have it all". Both parents can work and have successful careers (maybe not THE most demanding careers) and still have lots of quality time with their kids. And if either parent wants to do the stay-at-home parent lifestyle (probably in the early years before kids are in school) they can empower themselves beforehand with solid education and work experience so that jumping back into the work force later is not a huge hurdle

    I really wonder what world this guy lives in that he thinks everyone is raised by nannies, like wtf? Does he come from a wealthy area or something? I grew up in a super poor area where everyone's parents either both worked or they had a single parent household where the parent worked multiple jobs, and the thought of ANYONE having a nanny was laughable, most people couldn't even afford daycare. Older siblings or friends' older kids watched little ones, or they stayed with family or close neighbors/friends. Worst case kids were left alone. I was left alone to care for my younger siblings starting around age 7. This guy has so many wildly disconnected ideas about how people and society functions, I have to wonder if he ever actually leaves his house or talks to real people.

The big difference is being told I HAVE to stay at home vs being given both options and being allowed to choose what suits me. While I think there is a huge narrative from the left that girls have to go and get your bag which I struggled when I realized that is not what I wanted and I felt shame that I did not want a career job. We should have the clear pros and cons of both paths presented and be free make our life decisions accordingly. -Men want women who have passions and goals yet want women to stay at home to raise kids because they’re biologically wired to do so -Women who have a job/career should stay at home once they have kids. Then when kids get older, they can resume whatever they had going on. Do men not realize how extremely difficult it is to get back into the workforce once you’ve been away for years?? You’re older, have a huge gap on your resume, skills are not up to date, culture in the workplace has vastly changed, etc. It’s so darn difficult - Women that have jobs should contribute 50/50 financially, otherwise they’re gold diggers and only see a man as an atm machine. Yet red pill men do 0% of the house chores. In essence, the woman works 2 jobs yet she still needs to maintain her femininity, be agreeable and allow the man to make all the decisions. Yeah, right… - Women are naturally better at raising kids yet men complain how the court system usually doesn’t grant them custody in case of divorce. Hmm…wonder why… -Men don’t want to get married (ie sign a contract that only benefits one side) yet they want a wife and kids. So if they don’t get married but have kids, they will be born out of wedlock, thus creating single mothers (red pill men supposedly despise single mothers) -Men claim to be happy once they’re old and still single but make fun of older women who supposedly will end up alone with a bunch of cats. Pot calling the kettle black The contradictions are unreal. Men should just marry other men at this point

    From my perspective as a woman, I have a bit of internalised bitterness towards men in some aspects (though I prefer to think I do my best to seperate my perspectives as ultimately from experiences so, therefore, biased). I interpreted these conflict is about gender expectation and who's more rather get marginalised because of it, from my experience, men just looks had it more easier that they don't have the heavy burden to remind themselves what their gender when taking major decisions in life. There's a constant reminder for me I'm a woman first before considering what to do with my life. How much should I present so couldn't get judged by others especially other women. I see people just casually stereotype women to be generally tone-deaf and emotional so it's easier to not take us seriously compared to you guys. And after all that I see a lot of men mock or tease women, our femininity, for being too sensitive and open with their emotions when our agreed gender expections encouraged that to let it happen, like that negative aspect of women stereotypes didn't build up by keeping women to be focused to be baby carriers/takers in a more conservative society. Finally, have an audacity to have harsh very opinions on women who chose to be sex workers because they tend to get criticised more in other jobs when there's more value in them being a housewife and raise kids.

    @@emiroos Most guys are bitter when it comes to women because y'all can damn near get away with murder. People help y'all without asking for anything in return. Which is something men overall don't experience. A lot of men see women living on easy mode due to this new sex worker uptick which is ironic imo. Due to if men told you to do such you wouldn't do it. Yet now sex work is so "lame" even some of the low effort stuff is successful enough to cover them while they also do a normal job. That's due to the conditioning boys and men have when they barely interacted with women. They see a crumb of skin and or parasocial attention they act like fools. Also there's the whole thing that men "need" to be bread winners. Ignoring the economy is so broken because it's still working off of the fact not everybody can work. Yet inflation makes it everybody needs to. This also causes bitterness between the sexes.

    Imagine that dude trying to tell me that my deep desire to get my psychology degree to become a therapist and help those struggling with mental illness isn't valid and ties back to wanting attention from a man. If that was true I'd have been dedicating my 20s to solely the pursuit of physical attraction, health and getting better at domestic tasks, instead of sacrificing my social life (and more) to academic pursuits. Grow up 😂. Yes, I want a man, i may or may not have kids ones day.. but for now my bf is my best friend that I get to fck and we support eachother through our academic pursuits. Nothing matters more to me than the self actualization of my career and our relationship serves as a support system for each of us pursuing our passions (he's one year away from a psychiatrist, I'm 3 years away from becoming a psychologist/therapist). Having a kid one day is a _maybe_ and would be nice, but it's by no means a main goal - it wouldn't make me happier, I know this - and we're both perfectly content without it happening. I've also meet hundreds of other women in academia with a similar attitude. So, is it true that women in GENERAL might be more likely to want nuclear family SAH life? Maybe yeah, but a general rule that we're coerced into that lifestyle, or setting society up in a way that makes us bound to that, when there's so many women who suffered deeply because of those expectations in the 1950s, is highly unethical, misguided and frankly, juvenile thinking. Kid needs to get out and meet different people, maybe travel a bit.

I like Destiny, but he needs to research this topic more.

    If you are married and had kids with your spouse, you can go into serious debt and fast. Imagine your ex wife taking half your stuff and income for her alimony after you lose a divorce case and pay off your lawyer, and then on top of that you have to now pay for a completely different lawyer to file for custody, having to dish out even more for that new lawyer in the hopes you win custody but don't, thus now you're having to pay both alimony and more child support than you would have if you just settled the custody case out of court.

    Like yeah, it's pretty fucked up that men can literally go broke for many years, or even become homeless, over this crap. Men are often forced to either concede to the mother, or literally struggle to survive for many years after if they lose a custody case. Telling men they're abandoning their kids when they're faced with near-impossible odds of success is insane. Women have the clear advantage because women are almost never the plaintiff in these cases, and as a result have to pay little-to-nothing to win.

    But a dad shouldn't give up on his kid over a failed court system. It's totally not right, but our culture promoting men fighting for custody and never giving up is essential.

    A housemom is not a fulltime job for a normal family with 2 kids. Lets take FOOD: You don't have to cook your kids pancakes every morning. They can eat porrible/bread etc. that takes almost no preperation and by the age of 4+ or so, they can put stuff on their own bread and make their own lunch that way as well, add 1 or 2 fruits and you're done. At lunch, the man and the kids for most of their years, are at work/school, so lunch is often only for yourself. The only shared meal that's nice for a housemom to make in my view is diner, because that's when everyone is home and making diner doesn't have to cost more than an hour. SCHOOL: Your kid between the age of 3 and 16+ is at school for 5-8 hours a day and house maintenance/diner/laundry does not cost 5-8 hours a day for a normal family with 2 kids. No one can argue against this. Therefor, being a housemom is not a fulltime job. KIDS CAN ENTERTAIN THEMSELVES AS WELL: When I was home as an 8 year old, I did homework by myself and played by myself or with my neighboorhood friends, or my brother/ sister. Did not need my parents for any of that. I went on bikerides and walks with my parents, but they would've done that anyway even without me. Sometimes mom OR dad played with me but that was maybe like half an hour every day. My brother and sister were raised the same way. We didn't need our parents every hour because we learned to keep ourselves busy, playing with Lego, making drawings, listening to music, playing outside, playing on the Commodore64 etc. We were not raised to be dependent on our parents for our entertainment. The amount of time you spend with your kids - how much you handhold them, is a choice and not always a necessity. ALL IN ALL: Housemoms with 2 kids can have quite some hours a day to persue their own hobbies, especially when both kids are at school. My mom did a lot of handcrafting, gardening and book reading.

    I agree with this guys take on women being more biologically designed for childcare however the awesome part of being human is that we are the only species able to go against biology with any success and there's nothing wrong with embracing that.

    Excrpt if you go against biology on a large scale there are negative externalities like women not going into STEM as often. This has been well documented where more egalitarian nations see women deferring to traditional gender norms in terms of education and jobs acquired.
