so many memories

A couple things I have to point out: 1: they had exotics and legendaries at lvl 5 and up 2: that guys name was ORYX.bng 3. Pulse rifles were originally scout rifles and hand cannons were specials 5: dat inventory 6: when they introduce the second fire team, they came over a wall which was inaccessible in the game now

Nope the entire old Russia and rumor Chicago was supposed to be explorable but never actually made it due to Activison and when someone tells you because of last gen tell them that skyrim was fully functional on ps3 and xbox 360 and it was a much larger game then destiny oh and every other planet was supposed to be free roam and new ones like Saturan Mecury and I think one more but still it's a load of bull bungie would've been better off letting EA take Activison spot atleast they would've made it like bf4 battle packs instead engrams an gave free updates and dlc possibly after the dark below and HOW

I love the look of this game but I love even more how the conference guys talk! Shouting out generic friendly commands, that no-one really in game would ever say "I gotcha covered", "we got a drop ship coming in", "another fire team coming in", "here I go!", "let's mop them up". I loved the min-boss battle, the guy that came out of the drain was awesome.

Jason Lange One of the developers who made the original (and most likely best) story. Like a month before that dude left so if they used it they would of had to do a LOT of copyrighting issues what they simply could not afford, so they decided to make a completely new one.

Karathisoglou Man Or maybe the story had been unfinished and due to the likely pressure of Activision they had to rush through development? Ruben (one of the main writers) left Bungie, only to join Telltale likely due to lack of satisfaction. I don't know the specifics of anything nor will I claim to but I'm just discussing likely scenarios - Bungie free of Microsoft, signed a contract with the devil and everything went to shit momentarily after. I'm all up to date on reddit too, just to clarify. One thing I know is Bungie; I've followed them hardcore since CE and they've always had a sense of passion about them. Meanwhile, Destiny is somewhat fun, it is also extremely shallow; nothing incites emotion to make you give any fucks about the game beyond gearing up and being better than all of your friends. I don't believe for a second Bungie would release a game in this state under their own merit. I believe the content is there (see grimoire cards), just unused considering all the development time put into the game and I don't see them wasting all that.

I completely agree. Thunderlord is a-fuckin-mazing in this build. Gjallarhorn had a perk at some point in development that placed a turret where your shells detonated. I want to play *this* game.

Jonathan Sapida there isn't gonna be a destiny 2. They are going to add it onto destiny as DLC, but literally a full new game. It's not really DLC as in they are just gonna add new stuff, but a whole new campaign and everything. That's what I've been told from game stop and read in some Bungie articles.

Here I am, 2015, wishing I had a demo made back in 2013. Even the public events look better in this version of the game.

It even looked like a different curve of getting good gear back then as well. You could get exotics at such a low level but they were very handicapped and in order to make them O.P. you probably were required to do missions or strikes to receive talent points as seen when they showed the thunderlord's perks. Ah, I miss this Destiny.

Yeah let's give exotics that easily. The point of the game is to get exotics and good gear/weapons, so let's just make the goal of the game achievable in a couple of hours, it would be fun. If you're wondering why don't you get exotics that easily, you didn't get the point of the game. You level up by having gear, and the game loses interest when you're top level (I'm speaking about the 32 level cap right now here, not level 20), you could be able to finish Destiny completely in like a day. It would be retarded. And about the DLC, if for you the DLC is just about the missions themselves, then once again, you're retarded. First of all, you need to do the missions/strikes/raid multiple times to get the best gear. And there's a bunch of new gear, 2 more light levels, a new vendor that gives new items and new bounties that make you evolve a new reputation level, new crucible maps, a new raid, new strikes, and all that for 20 bucks. Yeah it may be a little expensive, but don't say that the DLC is 5 hours long.

Why is everyone so bummed that it's a first person shooter, it's open world, has RPG elements, a crap ton of customization including characters, weaponry, and ships, its not like its JUST a first person shooter, it looks awesome, stop bitching.

+GoopHug bungie, or more so Activision, requested that reviews had to wait a full week after the game was released. they claimed it was because 'they wanted players to experience the full game before making reviews' when in reality they NEEDED a week of good sales before the bad reviews came out or else they would've been screwed. blame activision for everything thats changed in the game, they pretty much bought destiny out once the head writer of destiny quit while it was being developed

I came back to see this trailer again and what we should have got. The game we have now is not what we were showed here almost 2 years ago. That ship looked awesome. The friend joining, coming in on his ship. Your ghost flying freely, lighting up dark areas. Shanks flying freely over pits.Enemies climbing around. Exotics dropping off a boss rather than being a randomized reward for almost anything. More people on the same server. An entire open world. Some of these cut scenes, like the one with the queens brother. Charlimanes vault. Where did it all go?

It does have an open world, it's just at a realistic scale and the zones aren't big because of that. MMOs are small scale, if you could play WoW in first person with a sniper rifle you cou snipe someone from one town to the next lol there isn't scale. Shooters need that.

Fun fact: the music that is in the gameplay trailer wasn't composed by Martin O'Donnell. Originally his music was going to be in the trailer, but Activision took it out and put in their music. #FuckBungieVision

I like the way the weapon upgrade tree looks like in this version. As well as the equipment screen. Why couldn't they keep that?! Not to mention all the good stuff that was just gone from the final release.

***** I thought that was cool too. Plus at 10:19, you see another fire team come in FROM OVER THAT GIANT WALL. I bet in this version they actually got to chose where they came in from instead of spawning at one available space and having to travel to where they wanted to be. Also, the ghost in this version didn't have that garbled-up computer voice. It's like they decided to hide the fact that the voice actor was Peter Dinklage. And the Shanks. They actually looked interesting the way they flew around. The only good change I can see they made was changing the red text above enemies with black and white.

T Wash I'd say they probably didn't have the buffer zone ready in time and wanted a quicker way for them to join the fight.

The Destiny we got is alright... but, seriously, wtf Bungie? I'm not sure if it was yours or Activision's fault, but so many things were taken out. I call it "Fable-syndrom". It planned to be the greatest at what it would do, but it ended up being extremely average. Oh-Oh! How about "Dark Souls 2-syndrom"? It was inititially amazing, and rocketed peoples hopes into the sky. Then they released it before saying "Hey guys, we made a few... changes."

Soki Vergil Thats not a real level, thats just the based n your armor and weapon stats. Basically and average of all your skills. The real new level cap is 40.

+Xavier Loera (Elite Zombies) yes but the lvl cap only determines the gear u wear light levels I'm sure can get that high determine your dps and armour. on twitch showcase deej was lvl 35 and had 180 light

We've come a long way. I would give almost anything to have Joseph Staten back at Bungie. I know he was screwed over but I just want to see what his story for the game was (At least he is back working on Halo at 343 industries). I hope Bungie someday uses his original story. This still looks like the greatest game ever made...

1. They had exotics and legendarys at a low rank 2. They were the only people in the game to get exotic engram drops from an easy "boss" 3. During the public event a fire team was coming from the huge concrete wall which means a larger area to explore cause it's blocked off now 4. The event was challenging for all players even with overpowered weapons

It was yellow, but, since when did a lvl1 archon destroyer drop an exotic, and since when could players under lvl 15~ decode engrams that were higher than encoded? I don't think this is the Destiny E3, we missed this game and bough whatever was piggybacking on to this. That or Activision and Bungie have more to explain than why they're not fixing any of the bugs we're spotting.

***** the original plan for exotics and legendaries was to have the weapons evolve and upgrade to different levels instead of being level locked like thay are in the final game that we've been playing, so that is why a level 7 could have thunderlord, a level 11 could have gjalarhorn and a level 5 patience and time. and if you pause the vid when he goes and checks thunderlord it says weapon level damage 200 instead of level 20 which is the requiered level to use exotics and legendaries.

they keep laughing through out the demo. Maybe because they knew this would never be in the game and how much money they would make.

Lie # 1 "we are going to explore the wild frontier beyond that wall" Nothing to explore, just boring patrol space with barely any enemies, literally nothing to do. Lie # 2 Guardian ship dropping of friends at your location instead of them starting at the entrance to each area. Lie # 3 "its dark im gonna take out my ghost " - you have no control over this in game Lie # 4 Being able to use a hand cannon and pulse rifle without opening the wort ui in gaming history that is meant for a mouse. In the actual game d pad makes you dance...... Lie # 5 getting any kind of rewards from anything other than nightfalls and raids, Ive played over 100 hrs never once gotten an exotic engram drop. Lie # 6 no public event is ever that cinematic in any way shape or form Lie # 7 other fireteams coming in to help from areas that are not accesible in the game. Lie # 8 meeting queens brother in patrol space? you only ever see him in the reef (even after 2 dlcs) Lie # 9 making it seem like this game as any sort of story or that your characters actions and your play through mean anything at all.

ShaeCouture There are no exotic engrams that drop from activities or enemies, just bought from Xur. I'm so very salty about Destiny now that i've seen this video. I was already wanting to quit it and now I lost motivation to play it anymore. I have every exotic gun and I've finished every activity in the game and I'm done now. So salty

ShaeCouture Answers to #4 that's because in this the hand cannons were special weapons #5 actually it's rng you might not have gotten anything in 100 hours but just after 8 days of the games release I got the last word from my first legendary #8 He was actually important to the story but they had to change every bit of the story because of some idiot leaking the entire plot

Freelancer837 No he means Exotic engrams. They don't drop in the game. You can get exotics gear as rewards or buy them from Xur, but Exotic engrams do not drop in game.

I love that really slow walking developers use when they are doing a video demo, it's like they know how everyone walks really slowly in real life when they are at home playing games.

i play cod and halo. but I prefer cod in some aspects. But halo has some features that are better

i knew the taken king was part of the full game that was cut, in the beginning the player name is Oryx

You see how fast on the nova bomb recharge.

I like how they show the rings of Saturn at 11:50 when they were announcing the game, then we get the area in the third expansion. The helmet the Titan was wearing STILL isn't in the game. I cry a little every time I watch this. I love the game for what it is, but it's the "what could have been" that kills me.

The PS3 & XBOX 360 couldn't handle that.You know that Activision wanted maximum profit,and they had to add last gen consoles into the deck...Sad,but a true reality with activision.

one thing im noticing is more of these mmo games are coming out. destiny, division, sunset overdrive, elder scrolls online. next-gen gaming is looking gooooooooood. ;)

crazy seeing this in my recommended, amazing how far this game has come, puts me in my feels watching this

I just hate how they always do fake voice acting at E3 it's so bad. Because they say it partially knowing they're doing it for drama, yet they act like they're actually in the situation the character is in. I.e. "i got you covered!" no one talks like that irl. Well they do over the mic, but they don't say it like there's bullets flying around them
