Possibly more. IMO that is a glimpse of what the witness will look like in salvations edge. It’s gonna be massive as well I feel like. This mission was no win for us other than we now know the witness isn’t unkillable. We just need to find a way to permanently sever its connection to the dark

Hearing the Witness scream in genuine pain was probably the most cathartic moment I've ever experienced in this game

Was the most cathartic kill I've ever done

I said in a reply on a comment in the ViDoc that The Witness is beyond pissed with us for rejecting its offer to become a Disciple and killing 3 of said Disciples. Now we’ve not only rejected it’s offering *in front of it*, but also wounded it because of some of the people that are a part of it decided to help us in killing it. *The Witness is absolutely fed up with our shit now*

Pissed is an understatement. We’ve now hurt it and only due to its own. The voice changes when our ghost talks back is definitely proof it wants us erased from its universe. I see the raid wipe mechanic being it just wiping us from existence or we will be finalised. Either way it’s definitely beyond pissed

We annoyed it. It offered us to join it not as part of the final shape but as a god in its words. As we deserve power more than what the gardener would ever give us. Funny it says all that yet the light was enough to destroy it. Fear made it lose its composure. Fear that we have hurt it

The final shape is basically Infinite Tsukuyomi from Naruto Shippuden. Being placed in a fantasy, while their real bodies are stuck in a state where they can’t do anything but be forced to be in their dream.

An indeterminate amount of time passes between Mara saving us and reawakening back on The Arbor Of Light. For all we know we could have been passed out for days, or weeks. Every second we waste is another second The Witness comes closer to The Final Shape.

@@braydeno4189The Final Shape is purpose in its eyes. During its time under the traveller, the Witness’s original species flourished in a golden age of unprecedented prosperity and plenty. It was a paradise where everyone’s needs were met, and they had access to anything they could dream of. It was during this period where a huge number of the citizens of that paradise became dissatisfied with their perfect life. To live without any hardship or loss of any kind led them to realize that the life they lived had no purpose. So they want to give everything in the universe a purpose by creating the final shape. A perfect state of being where all living beings live forever in one perfect moment, a moment designed with a specific purpose in mind. That purpose is what the Witness craves and desires above all else. Because in the Witness’s opinion an existence without purpose is the greatest suffering imaginable.

That's what It Is. The Witness is that person who cries and screams at the sky, demanding God himself to show up and tell It what to do. While beings like the Guardians forge their own fate, the Witness stood there and waited for a higher power to command It. Imagine if every edgy atheist in the world fused together and imediatelly decided to become a God, that's what we are dealing with here. And honestly that's terrifying, imagine a child - a creature without any morals and self control - became a godlike being and started crusading around the universe? That's scary.

Season of the Risen, I think. It was given to him by Saladin after he was brought into serve with Caiatl on her War Tribunal. Sat by the Helm's War Table until the beginning of Lightfall

The witness doesn't fear the guardians it fears Bungie because the witness knows its going it instantly nurfed if it kills a vanguard

My guess Episode 3 will be the final battle part of The Final Shape.

Micah-10 is an exo hunter who was turned into an exo against her will (this isn't confirmed but heavily implied) As a kid she made the penguins you can find on Europa. As an exo, she encountered Cayde 6 who at the time was bodyguard to top level Ishtar scientist, a Neomuna founder, and exo blueprint of Lakshmi 2 Maya Sundaresh. As a Guardian, Micah is a member of advanced hunter party, the Six Coyotes, and uniquely possesses a talent to shepherd ghosts to their Guardians forming deep bonds and friendships with them.

The Witness is the most powerful being we’ve ever fought against, but since we’re fighting it in the Traveler the Traveler was able to help us fight it, and we are using both light and dark and mastering them both together there for we became much more stronger than ever, and we were able to wound the witness for the first time since we got help from some of its people, I like to believe that the witness had to recover some of its power so it couldn’t slice and dice us up, but it was still very close to killing us we had a lucky escape, but we now know that despite all of its power it can be destroyed

U just forgot about the great many levels of character development between ikora, zavala, cayde and uldren lacking from the previous expansion alongside the fantastic development of the Witness as a villain, portraying clear weaknesses and showing that he is still a threat but eventually succumbs to fear of our guardian. This expansion also answered a key questions that were stirring up since beyond light such as the relationship of the statues in regards to the main story. Bungie clearly had a bunch of badly written dlc stories. This isnt one of them. Ure just hating for the sake of hating. Comparing this expansion to the last jedi should be a crime lol
