BIG love 🫶

Get yourself a Bip & Go for the tolls. Works in France and Spain and bills you at the end of the month you use the tolls. Also works in Portugal (I think). Allows you to drive straight through at the toll barriers. No bothering the passenger, losing the ticket or messing around with money. There may be others am not sure, but Bip n Go works well for us.

Top tip, thank you…I’ve just looked in to this & wish I’d have known sooner! Unfortunately, I’ve no address to have the card sent to out here. They do have shops where you’d get the card immediately apparently but they all seem to be in France. Definitely worth it for next year 🙌

If you’re heading south of Errachidia towards the Dunes at Mazouga , look up the Nomad Palace , the owner. Ali is a good friend , he will let you camp close by and in the foothills of the Erg Chebbi dunes which are the biggest dunes in Morocco and part of the Sahara. A lot of yogis etc use this area for groups so Lyndsey will love it . A good route is Meknes towards Rich and at Rich turn towards Amalago which will take you through the Todra Gorge to Tinihir

Right that’s it…I gotta find some flights! 😂

Did that trip with my parentsin the late 70s my dad bought an old ex post office j2 van hitched the caravan up and we planned to get to Gib but when we got to Algeciras he was told he couldn't take the caravan to Gib as there was only one caravan site there and it was full so we got on the Ferry to Ceuta and stayed at a fab site just out side Tangiers i was about 14 at the time planning maybe do it again at 65 lol

It was about £150 all the way down into Southern Spain. Not too bad given how quick it made it & how smooth & free flowing the roads were! 🫶👊🏼

What sort of bed do you have for Bleu in front seat. Need to get obe for our frenchie for our new conversion.

It was just a random one picked up in Pets At Home. Bleu started out using it on this trip but has now ended up preferring just being on the van seat in the end 🤭

We accept we have to just get the 3rd party insurance on the way in to Morocco & risk it 🤞 By all accounts, there’s some highly skilled body shop repair guys at a fraction of the prices we’re used to in the UK so unless you’re really unlucky, repairing a ding in the side of your van is cheaper than fully comp 🤭

Love the video's and lifestyle. If you don't mind can I as how do you make a living? or are you retired? Also what did you do before vanlife and what made you change your lifestyle?

We have just done abbey well vets too, really good. But found out throught Facebook groups that the UK paperwork won't get your dog back into Spain after Morocco. We have stopped in Spain for a passport, new annual rabies, and then we have to wait for the titer test. Spain won't recognise a UK drawn test. How did you get round this? Really interested to know. Great blog by the way.

Yeah, that freaked us out when we read that too! We still have mixed opinions on how true it is but the vet we used in Spain gave us a European Pet Passport, new rabies jab, another health check & sorted the paperwork. Luckily, although we had the titre test bloods taken in the UK, by some fluke, the actual lab it was sent to for analysis by the UK vet was in Germany? It’s been a pain in the ass & endless expense but we’re confident we’re ok. We have an appointment at the port 24hrs before we sail next week so we’ll know for sure before risking being stuck in Morocco for 3 months whilst starting the process all over again? 🤞what a ball ache eh?

@@OurVanTales all the very best. There have been some interesting stories from others. It seems to depend on the port officials in Spain. Really hope this works for you. Our dog failed her titer test anyway, so she needs a new one. The vet in Spain has been super helpful, but all more time and more money. I can't believe the UK has got itself into this ridiculous situation. All the very best for your trip. Loving the videos.❤️

Good question. We’re gonna do a specific & more detailed part to this in a near future Vlog. I’ve not yet totalled it all up as we’ve still got a few more things to do & pay for this week before crossing to Morocco. 🙌

You know what vets are like? Wait till your pre ious pooch is on death door and the vet saves its life, that’s the value of the vet. If you object to taking your dog due to fees then put it in a kennel or otherwise don’t be a dog owner. So disappointed in your comments.

I don’t de-value the skills of a good vet - Priceless! What I do object to, is the obscene cost for paperwork, admin and pharmaceuticals in the UK. Considering I’ve just had to re-do an element of the process again in Spain but at a fraction of the price, I stand by it…Sorry if you’re disappointed but big love to you 🫶
