I’ve personally found the Spanish Tolls fast flowing & not too expensive. The only pain is leaning over the passenger side to swipe a card or phone if you’re drive a UK vehicle alone. Portugal was easier as the tolls (at least the ones I saw) were just electronic sensors/cameras above the road so no slowing down or exchanging anything physical - Just make sure you go on-line & register a card & your vehicle first & it’s all automatic 👌

While there is One Man and his Dog you will be absolutely fine. Just think of the people you are helping with all the info you are providing. Crack on and Tally Ho. When your back Colchester way drop by for a few beers. Keep up the great work

Yeah, thankfully we’ve had a number of lovely people offer to look after Bleu in Spain which is SO kind but we’re heading deep down South in Morocco for over a month so it’d be tricky logistically 😉

Hi. We're in Spain now and are hoping to go to Morocco in Jan, and we're having the same problem! We found out last week that our UK Titer result wont be accepted. Another rabies jab and Titer test (€165) done. We now have to wait 3-4wks for the result. It's a real nightmare!! Can you tell me about the import appointment and the health check please. The vet said nothing else had to be done! Trying to find out what is needed is so difficult! Many thanks.

It’s a right pain isn’t it!? You need an appointment with PIF at the port to get the import/export paperwork stamped & approved within 24hrs of crossing. They’ll want to see the Pet Passport, European rabies jab proof and a titre test result is needed for the way back in to Spain. Oh, you’ll need a pet health certificate too & that has to be within 24hrs of travel. It all seems a bit daunting but it’s do-able, it’s just managing the timings 🙌 * of course, chances are, once that’s all done, no one will even look at the paperwork whilst you’re traveling …But it’s just being safe to return that matters

Thanks for the info. It's greatly appreciated, as it's difficult to get up to date details. Did you use the vets and PIF at Algeciras, as that's the port we'll be using? Is it easy to get an appointment at both with short notice? I think a lot of people are going to be caught out on this change, like us. Some probably don't even know anything about the Titer test at all! Many thanks.

Put the dog in a Dog Hotel and go back for him next week.. it’s only a short ferry trip .. the dog won’t be happy but he doesn’t know it’s Christmas and will be looking after

Don't feel to bad fella, I arrived in spain. Same time has you, Was hoping to do the 90 days. But unfortunately, My dog wasn't too well. Took him to the vets,Turns out. He has testicular cancer, So I'm rushing him back to uk.😢
