I agree. I'll be headed that direction for the week of Labor Day and I am looking forward to it.
I lived in the Fort Walton Beach area back in the early 80's and was fortunate enough to have had the pleasure of enjoying the Destin experience. I highly recommend that you check it out.

Actually, yes. Destin Harbor does allow anchoring overnight.
