My mother use to tell me when she retire she's moving to Destin. She also said she wanted her ashes spread in the ocean there. I would always wonder what's the big deal with this locale. Last year, we spread her ashes at one of the beaches there. I finally GET it. Why she wanted to live there. I can not wait to go back and say hello to her and just chill on the beach. My wife and kids can do the other stuff from this video. Thanks for it.

I just feel like water parks are pointless, we go to Destin for the beaches and beach activities, we have water parks where I live (not near a beach). Maybe more for local permanent residents.

I vacation at Destin every year and my number 1 is Crab Island, I just have so much fun! We usually rent a boat and jet ski and bring food and drinks and spend the whole day there. And at night we go to the boardwalk and eat in a restaurant. There's also this place (I don't remember the name) that has an arcade, mini golf, go-carts and other things and it's super fun.

@@davo85iz0 If there's traffic problems it's because roads never get fixed or done, not because I go there on vacation. Blame the Department of Transportation on never finishing their job.

@Himawari_Kaori KR I'll give you half credit. The roads may suck, but you're adding to it by coming here. LOL. Hopefully this year will be better, since they're done with Hwy. 98. They're about to start building a new bridge to Okaloosa Island and that's going to be a mess.

live in the Cincinnati Tri State area and have heard that....By law we are only allowed to vacation in Either Gatlinburg TN, Myrtle Beach or Destin,🤣 Been to the other two so was wondering about Destin

I still prefer Hallandale Beach Florida more beautiful city with beautiful beaches and restaurants and a growing communities and businesses and a good nightlife and good parks for kids.

Destin doesn't even have 1 pier to fish from ! Where did they come up with seven, or whatever they said?
