The minions language is French, English and Spanish mixed with gibberish. People actually can have conversations in minions language because fans have filled in the gibberish with actual meaning.

In the german dubbing you can sometimes hear a german word. Not often, but sometimes it sounds like they mixed some german words in that gibberish.

Minionese is a mix of all kind of languages. In the swedish dub most english words that the minions say are changed into swedish ones so swedish kids can get what they're saying. Pa-poy is translated in "pek-pak" (peehk-paah) to make it sound like "leksak" (toy/plaything).

Probably the best literal *toilet humor* of any movie I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. 😂

One thing people forget when they compare Megamind with Despicable Me, is that Megamind is a super hero parody, while Despicable Me is a Spy themed Parody.

20:55 The cookie bots were probably programmed to close the hole they made so that Vector wouldn't notice that his vault had been cut and broken into. Gru and his minions just failed to get out fast enough or didn't program the delay timer long enough. XD In and out before anyone realizes the theft.

One of my favorite things about this series is that despite having hundreds of nearly identical creatures working for him, that are literally called minions, Gru can differentiate between every single one on sight, and knows them all by name. Kind of a subtle foreshadowing to the fact that Gru really is a good guy all along

Regarding the Spanish sentence, she was told her face is "como un burro" which translates to "like a donkey" 😂

There is a really great animated movie from the early 1980s called "Flight of the Dragons" that will tell you why Dragons Covet Gold. And another great from the time period is "The Last Unicorn"

Sing is great :) I'm not as sure about Lorax - I didn't dislike it but it didn't really feel amazing for me. I only saw it once, and I was tired, so maybe I would like it better if I rewatched it, but from what I remember I'm not sure if it's worth a reaction. Great book though.

The gag with Dave trying to get another good-night kiss from Gru is a reference to Snow White when Dopey tries to get another kiss from her.

@Formortiis Warhawk But Megamind doesn't fight without his tech, and also Megaind is actually competent, he is thwarted because of the skill of his oppnents not because of him dropping the ball.

Gru's mom is ironically voiced by Julie Andrews and to continue with the theme of constrasts, such as Gru seem a big villian even though he has semi-compitent unfocused henchmen that behave like kids and a scientist who's have bad hearing.

5:58 Gravity would be largely unaffected by the absence of the moon, since it's only equal to about 1/3 of earth's mass, but you have a point about the oceans. The moon is responsible for the push and pull of the tides, so its absence would likely affect the oceans in a much more devastating way than even a "villain" like Gru could ever anticipate.

The Minions movie is less brilliant, sure, - but I still had several Laugh-Out-Loud moments, first time watching 😊 But then, I really like the minions a lot. It's my kind of humour, apparently 😉 Opinions, I guess. Still would love to see JV react to it! 😊😊

I'm not trying to force anyone else to like them, just stating that I found them good entertainment, and that I would like to see JV's reaction 😊

It is The Lorax on Margos shirt. This same studio made that movie too.

Even if that bit isn't shown here on KZread, the reference with the hair doll head in his bed is a reference to the Godfather with the severad horse head in the bed of one of the characters. Haven't seen The Godfather myself though.

The character on Margo's t-shirt is The Lorax from the same named movie (which as upcoming at the time). In Despiacble Me 3 she has The Grinch on her t-shirt as his movie was an upcoming movie as well. Both The Lorax and The Grinch were done by Dr. Seuss so you were pretty close with The Green Eggs With Ham, as he wrote that book too.

Always laugh at the anti gravity serum and the minion floating away through the skylight. Nefario:"I meant to close that. H-he'll be alright, I'm sure."

I love this movie, but I think the second was best

Well, Agnes isn't so picky, she's glad she has a unicorn toy, though later in the movie she gets a even better one that tops her old one that got destoryed.

Megamind was a better film, but this was probably better for kids. Both are really good.

Of course Gru has to go to a villian bank as he would be tracked by officals and the police.

The rollercoaster was good to watch in 3D.

I feel you man. I also have two daughters (6 & 10) so movies like this and Inside Out can wreck me. It's tough being the lone guy awash in the estrogen ocean.

It's not a bad movie but Megamind is ona while diffrent level, it's sleek, there's nothing out of place there, everythign that happens happens as a product of the people involved and the decisions they would logiclaly make. Meanwhile this movie is just random gags all the time. Sure megamind has soem gags, like Minion not being able to turn of the stereo when Megamind was holding his speech but that's minor compared to the mionions pulling stupid crap all the time.
