    Using ADAM A7Xs with these for a standing desk, feels wobbly and unsecure. Would've loved it if there was a little bit more material over the desk, so that the center of mass was placed more over the desk for less wobble. Hopefully won't be a problem in the future, but if you buy them you should be aware that they could be better. I'll be checking them every now and then to make sure they're not loose, and will be looking for more secure ones in the future.

    I bought a similar pair by Millennium about 3 yrs ago for my KRK Rokit 5’s and took them off because there was too much wobble. I tried my pioneer DJ’s on these as they’re much smaller and had exactly the same issue. Also the height adjustments don’t come out of the holes so I can adjust the height. The rubber covering is made too small to stay across the whole stand and keeps coming off. I paid a lot and waited ages for these to arrive from Germany to the UK. Big disappointment and too far to return them so now 3-4yrs on I’m looking to sell them. I was hoping someone would be able to advise me how to get the height adjustment working. 😂

    Gator Frameworks Desktop Clamp-On

  • @trepcsuit
    @trepcsuit3 жыл бұрын

    Price with shipping is comparable to the Gator Frameworks Clamp-On Studio Monitor Stand (GFWSPKSTMNDSKCMP) but, I feel these are better constructed. Granted the Gator is a larger stand for bigger speakers and right now the Gator is running $99 on Amazon. I would say they are a bit overpriced from a US perspective based on the size of the speaker they will support. Shipping for me to Texas was $25 with a price of $75 USD ($100). I have Presonus E3.5 studio monitor speakers and should work well with them.

    @@0verkilla Are you sure that's nothing to do with your specific desk setup/shape? I have mine clamped to my desk at a slight angle so they point towards me, maybe 20 degrees or so. Looks a bit like in the video, except for the straight edge of my desk. Zero issues for me, the stands are rock solid. That's all I can say unfortunately, sorry to hear that they're not stable enough in your case ):

    @@3st90 Around 20 degrees (picture for reference: i.imgur.com/KnJ3Hpk.png) is what I would say is my threshold for a pretty stable clamp. If I go any further, it starts to feel pretty clunky as the clamp does not have enough desk. My problem is that 20 degrees is far from enough, I need around 45 if not more if I want my speakers pointing towards my ears :l .
