A biologist once told a story about his Harvard professor named Louis Agassiz, who taught him a simple habit to help him see more than he ever dreamed. The lesson he learned is also the secret to lifelong and life-changing Bible reading: keep looking.
One reason we see so little when we read the Bible is that we do not give ourselves long enough to look. John Piper shares the story “Agassiz and the Fish” in his new book Reading the Bible Supernaturally. In the seemingly ordinary act of reading the Bible, something miraculous happens: God gives us new eyes to see more of him - if we are willing to slow down and keep looking.

I was immersed in the beauty of the animation, impressed with every movement, absorbed in the storytelling, thinking "whoever made this is amazing." Then I looked at the studio name, and everything became clear. Ordinary Folks, you rock.

Using scientific observation as a parallel for reading the bible is...interesting, but the motion graphics looked great.

Somehow two rings are present on-screen and my mind imagined a college student in his early 20s wearing a loose jacket and heavy backpack racing through campus. Now I see glasses... What is this magic?

This is so beautifully done. Let us draw near to the One who is the Creator and who give us the strength to create. He who is above all things.

Wonderful animation, every frame is mesmerizing with masterful motion design. But apart from that, a thought on the subject of the video. Ironically reading the bible is the fastest way to lose one's faith if you are a reasonable person. The whole religion is based on the fact that barely anyone has read the bible in detail and highly selected fragments are the only ones presented to an average churchgoer. Try to read some of it, for example Genesis 19:1-28, Mark 11:20-25, 2 Kings 2:23-25. In general, most of it is ridiculous and paints a repulsive picture of god. Anyway, great stuff.
