How to Flushmount Trique Mfg door latches. Trique door latches use the Altman style Bearclaw Latch. They use a plate that is bolted externally to the door shell. I am going to show you how to Flushmount the latch so it has a cleaner and more factory appearance.
I will also show you how to modify and install the locking rods. Plus installing the door lock, dealing with the retaining clips and more.
This how to video is on a 70 Chevy C10 pick up. However the principles apply to other vehicle as well.

I've had mine on my 72 for about a year and a half, does it take a little more force to open the handles on yours now? My 8 year old can't even open the door inside or out, I'm wondering if my rods inside were bent too short or still too long? Both doors are the same but I'm stronger and it doesn't seem too bad for me but not as easy are you seem to be hitting your buttons. Any input? I keep the latch nice and greased.

It is just the design of the latch. It can only latch in certain spots(look at the back side)
