Designing a perfect unit for my students

In this video I guide you through the process of unit design. I decided to run a little experiment with my students and diverge from the course book in order to create a "perfect unit" based on the students' suggestions. The learners offered a few topics that pique their interst, and I tried to use them as a basis for our next 8 lessons. I'll show you my thinking process behind creating a unit and comment on the things that inform my teaching choices whenever I need to put the course book aside to cater for my students' needs and interests. Let me know what you think in the comment section :)

Anastasia, thank you a loooooooooooot for such a thought-provoking and scrupulous video! I'd definitely buy it! ❤❤❤❤Or it can be a part of a course! You are soo attentive to details, it's insane! (take it as a compliment)🤗 I loved ALL of your ideas, they all seem reasonable, and I especially want to point out the idea about the time constraints of the lesson - that's important and might really help to overcome the exam anxiety ⭐ You've done a great amount of work! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Elena, that's awesome! I hope both of you can benefit from this experience! You will have all the necessary information on hand that will give you a sense of direction and reduce lesson-prep time, and the student, in turn, will also feel that their needs are heard and met. Extra bonus point - it develops your learner autonomy! So what's not to like? :))
