Paige I busted out laughing when you said "it is nice that fb marketplace actually curates things for you that it knows you would like" and then the main item on the homepage was a giant John Deere lawnmower.
This is probs my fave series you do. I recon a no budget 1st Dibs one would be so fun.

Best idea ever! Just go balls out on 1st Dibs designing an imaginary Spanish style California 1920's home. Or in other words my dream home! Do it, Paige! You know for future inspiration! 😉
I liked the first couch, although like the stripe one too. Don’t like the RH couch- color and it’s sort of weirdly wrinkly worn. I liked the orange cabinet but also like the one you picked. Think the side tables were throwing it off- too much wood and thus your comment about it feeling too vintage. Love the art. You always amaze me- somehow you land on a room that works, and in record time! Oh, and congrats on 100k! We’ll celebrate big when you get back from NYC! So proud of you! ❤
The first floral couch was really nice, and would have gone well with the tulip chairs. Then I’d balance the retro stuff with a few classical pieces for the coffee and end tables or an entertainment unit
I love this idea. You could even do it in different cities and towns and probably get different styles from them

It would be cool to do a smaller town FB because it would offer more of a challenge.
I feel like you should do a room from Target. That’d be a good challenge for you! A dining room? A bedroom?
I love following your train of thought! It's so helpful to hear it out loud as you try something and then nix it. I like learning of various brands that are good too since I'm clueless in that department! And as a mom, my FAVORITE part of your videos is your mom shout outs and then scrolling the comments to see how she always comments on your videos! Fun!
I think the striped couch needs to go. It's interesting, but it pulls out the vintage-ness of the other pieces. I'd keep the neutral sofa and switch out the rug for one of the others.
I do wish we had stuck with the floral couch. This was so fun to watch.
Can we see a video of your take on seasonal decor? Like fall/Halloween/thanksgiving vibes?
Video suggestion: I have such a hard time with how to approach the "ugly" areas of a home. I feel like all available solutions look alike - like the TV area/unit, shoe storage, laundry basket, and waste sorting solutions to name some :) Would love to hear your creative approach to these types of areas in the home, so it won't be the same IKEA products that are available.
Love this series!! Since you asked: I'd have left out the beige "boring" couch, not bc. it's boring (it could fit nicely with dark and blueish stuff), but bc. it doesn't match the colours, esp. of the very light itself carpet and the (cool!) green couch well. I think I'd have chosen a darker, more red-toned rug (with tones from the side tables and the acrylic chair(s), and maybe have keep the 2nd chair even.. I liked your choices/decorated room! ☆
You are 100% my comfort KZreadr
Pretty convinced Chicago has some of the best second hand stuff for sale
Love it ! For me the problem is the couch rug combination. I would use a more neutral/beige area rug
Love the striped sofa. I do think you need to develop the color palette a bit more -- red and cream and bold chartreuse maybe?! Go for a more modern rug too maybe 😍😘😘😘

I agree! If only I had those options hahaha
Love these types of videos!!! Maybe if you transferred the photos onto a website that removes the background of the products you’d get a better idea of how thing would interfere with each other… there’s a few free ones online 🙌🏻
I love this series! Another fun idea would be to have a sort of one item one store challenge where you get randomly assigned (with an online wheel maybe?) a type of item and where to get it. So like Ikea: rug, cb2: lamp etc
I love these videos! I would have kept the first sofa, which was weirdly good and felt quite modern and would pair it with the tulip chairs. Not sure what I would have done for rug with that sofa, though. Next time do one like this from eBay, my favourite source of vintage gems :)
Love the striped couch, don't break up the set of tulip chairs, Art is great addition, yellow throw pillow for color, live plants and I'm needing some Brown and White graphic. Pottery or art or throw pillow with brown and white graphic. Good job, Paige!
wow facebook marketplace in my area doesn't have nearly as good listing as chicago
Putting this into the world so I don't forget to do it, I will try a little render for this room
I have binge watched all your videos since subscribing. Thank God there is a new one!
Just started the vid, and I am so excited bc I find learning your thought process to be so inspiring. Your take is unexpected and I like trying to see what you see
Love this episode so much because it’s helping me know what to search and how to search on FB marketplace Please do more :)
i like your earrings today! c:

thank you !!
Love the striped couch it’s such a fun vibe. I probably would have leaned more vintage/bohemian/eclectic and done a beige textured rug, marble/stone or glass coffee table, ditched the tulip chair although it’s really cool, and had a statement wall behind the couch in a darkish grey with a gallery wall behind it with some gold vintage frames :)
That first couch was amazing.
Even though the room didn't meet your design expectation 100p. But what I found more valuable was hearing the thought process. About the relationship between the pieces. And how to balance out a really bossy piece. Great content!
This is basically what I’ve done with my home so love to see a video about it 😍
The first sofa was actually so good
That was great! Chicago, as always, is a shoppers' paradise. I still have pieces from the 70s when I lived there after college. Well done...
Loooove this series!! This is so exciting to watch, thank you🤠
AKA Paige teaches us how to search FB marketplace. Wow! This really opened up a whole world of things I didn't know were in my area.
it turned out great! The sofa has such nice armrests, and these sidetables look a little bit massive and overlap that cool shape. personally I would change the side tables to more modern, curvy ones.
What a fun video! I love those tulip chairs.
Hey Paige, I loved this video! I'm moving out of my parents house into an unfurnished apartment, so I'm always on FB marketplace. It would be cool if you could make a video about tips for furnishing an apartment/home from scratch. Like since I'm on a budget, what items are worth investing in, what pieces should I get first as I design my space? Keep up the awesome videos. ☺️👍
Always love your content
I have to admit I was looking at your sweater and earrings more then Facebook marketplace, you look amazing in that color, which happens to be my favorite shade of green. I just bought two pillows for my couch in the exact shade yesterday.
I love the concept of this video! I hope you do many more with Facebook marketplace. It’s interesting to see how someone else searches for things. I think I would change out the rug. I like the striped couch but not necessarily with the rug.
Couldn't help but laugh when you were close to being done after searching vintage for everything, you proceeded to say the room was looking too vintage 🤣
Great finds and just keep going. Paint the walls one of those white shades, a modern light in the ceiling, soften with tall white drapes on the window and two dark cushions (not the same) on the grey sofa, draped with some fake fur. I am not sure about the lamp. A pink glass bowl on the coffee table, house plants and some brass candlesticks would be my perfect room. My favourite find was that vintage rug. Design challenges like this are fun and what a great idea for a lazy afternoon to search and have a go for ourselves.
“This is cool! It looks REALLY uncomfortable… let’s add it in” HAHAHA
Love this video…keep them coming!!!
Love this, would love to see more Facebook marketplace ones!
The colour of the jumper really suits you and love the earrings as well! Love these videos for inspo ❤
That second sofa (the green striped one with the cool sides) is to die for! If only I could drive to Chicago to grab it
Yes please do more FB marketplace, I loved this!
This would be so hard in my small town! I’m loving the fun Chicago furniture pieces
Maybe glass and chrome side tables....using the first couch....wood, dark marble or slate coffee table. Online estate sale websites might be nice👍
loved this video!
Love this! I'm from Chicago and I was looking for end tables for my space on fb too! I also have a unique layout in my space with 12 foot ceilings that are intimating to decorate. Would love to see you do a video on decorating high walls.
OMG yes, what an amazing idea
hey! it would be fun to see you decorate a baby room! it would also be good to see your thoughts on how to decorate a bedroom for a teenager, if that's something you are interested in! :)

Hello I hope you’re safe over there ? I hope this year brings happiness prosperity peace and love ❤️ all over the world, I would love us to be good friend in honesty and in trust if you don’t mind I’m Henry frank from NYC Arkport. And where are you from if I may ask ?🌼
I loved the first couch with the pattern.
I loved the first couch so much! I love this video concept! So much fun. I felt like watching a horror film (not that this was horror), but I am over here yelling at the screen….No No. Pick that one, crap you missed that one! LOL. I could watch these kinds of videos all day. 🎉
It might be interesting to retry this search in, maybe 2 or 3 months and see what might be available at that time to swap out, or add to, this hypothetical room! I like hearing your thoughts about what you choose.
i think the 2 floral couches that were taken out of the board were the best options ! So beautiful and bold, could have worked with the tulip chairs or more 90s metal furniture to make it more bold and sharp. Can't believe how many amazing finds there are on FBMP Chicago :O the US is the best for thrifting in general. I live in Brussels, we have cool things but definitely not as much vintage finds !!!!!
The tulip-ey chair makes it too retro imo and i liked the first floral couch!
Love these videos!
I preferred the first sofa and I think a warm, rich-coloured Persian or Kilim rug would have been nice. Plus plants and some cool art. I think it's the sofa that is making it feel too "vintage" as the furniture is all really nice
The grape Celsius is the best one. I love it.
Tbh I love the entire thing being vintage! The thing throwing me off is the chrome and glass coffee table
I think the rug is throwing me off! A more modern/ Nordic knots type rug would help balance it out
I love ur channel!!
I had to reinstall Facebook so I could try it out 🤣. This is a fun series please do more!!
Omg, your sweater! 😍
The sofa’s great! 👍🏾
I love it. Not too vintage at all. I don't love the rug but and maybe not the striped couch but it is cool.
love the sofa, glad you kept it! I would probably change the rug for a more neutral one to balance the vintage feel but still making the furniture pop. but as u said, finding good rugs 2hand is frkn hard 🤷🏽♀
also i was thinking maybe some greenery? do plants count? i like the use of glass, acrylic, and slighly dim warm lamp. and while i think palms can be a little trendy, i think one might be fitting on the second half of the board, i dunno
You inspired me soooo much! Can you do more videos like this where you désign rooms?
That first couch was 🤩
That couch you wanted to pair a rug with was unique in the sense of having the sleigh look
I'd definitely add more colour. The current selection is brown, beige and muted green making if feel dated and slightly dirty. Get rid the carpet and add something more traditional Persian with orange / red tones or even the mint one your first chose. The contrast makes it interesting and less matchy, matchy. Embrace the stripe of the sofa and reflect it in something else - a table lamp maybe. Get rid of the grey single chair (which looks incredibly uncomfortable) and find a comfy side chair in a solid colour. Like the side tables a lot as well as the light fixture.
Minus beige sofa plus extra tulip chair =❤
So fun.
My RH sofa is 18 years old and I fucking love it. It's a grey-green chenille fabric and it's divine. I have had the cushions restuffed once but seriously....It has lasted the test of time as has my Ethan Allen sofa . Ethan Allen sofas were made to last a nuclear holocaust.
Would’ve kept the first couch
Please tell us where we can find great antiques in/near Chicago (post covid). Enjoyed learning more about FB Marketplace (search terms). I liked the striped sofa and plastic chair, but not into the beige/taupe sofa. 😄
this sweater and earrings look amazing on you!!
I love this series. I would have kept the blue vintage sofa. It looked a bit more timeless and would perhaps have made the room feel a bit more modern.
I would add you sitting on the couch with this green pullover and nice earrings ...a bulldog sitting on the other side and a vintage bass guitar standing in the background ;)
Cool series! I think i would have liked the first couch you go rid of with the final room versus the striped one. You could design a room off of ebay. I would limit it to local pick up only with a 100 mile radius. That way you won't have cheap furniture that people are willing to ship out come up in your results.
I preferred the first couch…though not too sure why? Love your content! ❤️
Your channel is my favorite!!!!!!
Please keep making these videos!!!!
I love that patterned couch that I chose
I just picked up a gondola sofa for $250.00, Built-in the sixties off of marketplace and a barrel chair out of the seventies for free.. Both extremely well built. I'm going to get them reupholstered. I would prefer to shop marketplace than almost anywhere else for furniture.
Remove the tulip chair and change the coffee table to a Noguchi one. The lamp was a great find it was all going no where without it 😅
Loved the first floral couch. The striped one looked just a little too worn and tired--and probably not too comfy (saggy seat cushions). The tulip chairs were cool to look at, but didn't look comfortable. I think the chrome coffee table would have been good with the floral couch. That's all I've got.
I loved the first couch and the tulip chairs. Cute side tables. I was least excited about the rug. Their options were limited.
Congrats on 100k!
Linen couch and matching side chairs and scrap the striped couch
I would try some pillows in mostly orange/black theme on stripe couch.
I think all the pieces look good together but the stripe couch must go lol just makes the space look mishmash. My mom and I just kept saying to the tv “get rid of it pleeeease” Love this series!!
What would I add or replace? I do like the striped sofa the best and think it looks good with the art. Maybe I would chose a rug that popped more? A rug that was either darker or much lighter. And I think I'd nix the tulip chair in favor of a beautiful wooden (maybe bamboo?) chair, like a rocker. I liked where you were going w the lamp, but those lamps that hang over (like the one you chose) don't really provide enough light, imo. I didn't care for the shelving unit. Maybe a black unit would make the other things pop a bit more. And I think I'd add some kind of footstool. You can add some quirk or modernity with a little stool for your feet. There was a lot of green, it needed a little shot of red (footstool, small lamp, pillow). My own LR has mostly vintage furniture, but it's balanced because I have more modern art and very simple modern lamps. And bamboo blinds on the windows instead of drapes.
I would’ve changed the rug out for the jute maybe! And as much as I wanted to love it I hated that chair with everything. I would’ve went a different route initially however and went with that first good couch that looked like nickey kehoe
I would change the rug, something modern, neutral single color but with with little texture. So that could join the other elements that have strong texture ,pattern and colors 😊
So good

I like the couch a lot I think maybe the side tables are intensifying the vintage feel
