If you can afford it... Get a Vive, or other vr product that Oculus doesn't own for the time being or wait a bit for Oculus to fix all the issues with bricked headsets

@@ftwgaming0 that is terrible advice. If the person wants a stand alone headset, why would you recommend a Vive? HTC charges 3x what Oculus charges. I got my quest 2 for $348 after tax, including the elite strap. You couldnt even get the base stations and vive wands for that price. What issues with bricked headsets?

Dont worry little dude, when i was 13 i got my first computer which was a 486dx2-66 with 8mb of ram and a 170mb HDD. Youve got plenty of time, dont stress.

Theres lots of previous generation VR headsets for even less than $299. The original Quest 1 is all over Ebay for even less money and will play almost all of the same games. Ask your parents to go to a VR arcade so you can all try it. I bet you can convince them after that.

@@brettcameratraveler Not really I've seen people sell the quest on ebay and stuff for 600 dollars or even 1000 dollars. Maybe this dude could maybe ask for an allowance or get for christmas. Plus, quest 2 is wireless, which the previous generation cheap headsets like wmr don't have.

@@topoffthecoupe1871 You maybe thinking of prices from 6 months ago before the Quest 2 was out and the Quest 1 was sold out in stores. A quick hop on Ebay these days shows many "Buy It Now" options for around $250 but even better is the Quest 2 are in stock and available now for $299.

Please oculus launch oculus quest 2 in India
Oculus tech support sucks! I tried to get my oculus go up again and the online chat supports asked me to perform factory reset. Every time I tried to pair the device with my new phone it didnt work. The factory reset is stuck in “...” mode. After spending the whole weekend talking to many different online chat supports the last one said factory reset would not work on Oculus Go because the model is no longer supported! WTF! I asked to talk to a live person over the phone because all the tech supports said to wait for 3-5 minutes and ended up with factory reset recommendations. Oculus has no local stores and the online supports know nothing but bad advice. Bottom line is Oculus will leave customers stranded after couple of years because they keep rolling out new device and stop supporting the older models
