Design a Sublimation Tumbler in Inkscape (Free Design Software)
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this video, I use Inkscape (free design software) and 3 images/designs from Creative Fabrica to make a Sublimation Tumbler design. I will press the tumbler in my next video. You can purchase similar designs from people on Etsy, but why buy when you can make:) If you don't currently use a design software, consider giving it a try. Once you understand the basic concepts, there is so much you can do with it.

I love all your videos'. I have walked through the crafting world with you for years. You always explain things step by step and have so many hacks to make things work. I revisit so many of them. You always have an answer for what I'm looking for. Thanks!

Thank you Irene!!! Play around in the software - it is really awesome!!!
I've had Inkscape for a out a year now and I'm still learning how to use it 🤣 but I love how you explained what you were able to do with the tools in Inkscape! Some things I'm familiar with and other stuff I learned so thank you for this step by step! And I don't use sublimation yet but I might do like Nicole said and follow your steps just to get more familiar with the tools 😃😅😊

When I first started learning Inkscape, I would just sit on my couch and follow along with Inkscape videos to practice. After getting through the learning curve, I love love love it! Especially the "free" part:)

Oh yeah I definitely love the free part! 🤣🤣 I just seem to want to learn something when I need it at that moment and put off the learning part til I need it again 🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️😬
Do you have a way of doing a video with using 11x17" paper? Loved this video, thank you.

Are you wanting a tumbler design on the 11 x 17 or are you wanting to learn just how to print on 11 x 17? I'd be happy to do one.
Good video thanks

GREAT tutorial Marilyn and love that design! I don't know if I would have thought to use multiple images to make the destress area darker. Definitely will have to remember that. I've used Inkscape before and somewhat....familiar with it. Thanks for sharing the process. Tracey

Here are the images that i want to learn how edit. Need to remove 18 and change color of headband
Can you do or do you have a video about combining images and slicing or removing what you don't want from the 2 combined images?
@MakingwithMarilyn

Maybe this is what you are talking about? kzread.info/dash/bejne/hZaWsbOSZpS8cso.html In Inkscape, it will depend on whether the things you are working with are images (like pngs) or cut files. The way you slice/clip depends on the type. I think I might talk about that in the video, but I'm not sure. If the video I linked to doesn't answer your question, let me know and I am happy to do another one that does:)
How do i make my inkscape look like yours with bigger and easier to see icons?

Mirror it to print it.
I am brand new to sublimation. My question is do you create each of those images before you put them together on inkscape or do you buy them . I am wondering would it be easier to learn to create those images or buy them on etsy

First of all, welcome to sublimation! It is a wonderful technology with so many possibilities. I absolutely love it!!! I have a membership to Creative Fabrica. When I first joined it, I thought I would join for a month for my trial membership and then cancel, but it is so worth the price (which is pretty low). Here is a link to a free trial membership for a month. You can download unlimited things and then cancel within the first 30 days if you just want to try it out. With it, I rarely ever purchase anything from Etsy. All of the images I used on this came from Creative Fabrica. www.creativefabrica.com/promo/5862/0p454-FGHIJKLMNO/ref/1340608
