I really like this series, appreciate your works.
The main ways to compete are quality or price, I think quality it’s the best because there is always going to be a rival able to sell at lower prices than you do. Thank you for the video, the outfit of kasia it’s amazing, I think she gets a sunbath ...

Thanks for watching and sharing, Jacobo! Here are some corrections for you: 1) '...price. I think...' not, '...price, I think...'. 2) '...I think quality is the best because...' not, 'it's'. Hope this helps you!

@@Oxfordonlineenglish1 There are several words I wanted to know about and when a person from UK pronounces them they sound so different then when a person from US pronounces them. Can you do a video on it and I can give you the words?

i have enjoyed this video thank you so much but can ask a question that gonna sound odd. How would you describe an already running businesses marketing mix if it's products were both tangible and intangible, traditionally advertised, and also having a already established social media presence for eg has a website, presence on facebook, instagram and also uses whats app. please if you have any input that may help me i would appreciate it. thank you for your series, and I find your explanations and style of teaching to be excellent.

Hi Stephen. Are you asking about the description of this type of business's marketing mix or this type of business in general?
@stephenrimmer5629
Жыл бұрын
@@Oxfordonlineenglish1 hello I was asking how you would describe that type of marketing mix.
I'm not quite clear about the phrase "partially at our expense" in the sentence ".... have expanded their market share in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, partially at our expense." Could you kindly explain. Thank you.
@Oxfordonlineenglish1
Жыл бұрын
Good question. 'At someone's expense' means that something happens which benefits one side, and causes the other side to suffer in some way. 'Partially' means not 100%, but somewhat. So when we say that they 'expanded their market share...partially at our expenses,' that means they expanded their market share, which benefitted them, but partially caused us to suffer in some way as a result. Hope this helps you!

Thanks for watching and sharing, Cyrus. Yes, British English treats these as the third person plural and American English uses the third person singular.
