They didn’t make room for Henry because they tried to get him last year. Queen was already leaving. Plus they do have some Nice pieces on Defense already. You say a 30 year old running back but you failed to mention he was the #2 rusher last year and is #1 over the last two years being the number one option. One more question, Would Gus Edwards with a hurt Tannehill and Will Levis as quarterback end the season second in rushing yards and 5th in rushing touchdowns? Also Josh Allen and Jalen hurts had like 15 rushing touchdowns, Lamar had 5 but Gus had like 13 touchdowns with 10 within the 5 yard line. LJ could have taken 7-8 of those. Gus is not Henry.

What did he do at 29? Besides being the #2 Running back in rushing yards and was usually the main person the defense was looking to get the ball

@@PD-qu8dq yeah he was good last year, will probably be good again this year...... that's not the point..... the point is, the Ravens ALREADY had one of the most consistently productive run games in football, and they let one of their best young defenders walk out the door to a division rival for nothing to have room to sign him..... this doesn't in any way, shape or form make the Ravens a better team, and come playoff time when boxes have been loaded to stop the run, Derrick Henry has averaged barely over 2 yards per carry since 2020..... this isn't what the Ravens needed, this doesn't put them over the top whatsoever, and they hurt their team in a far more crucial area in order to facilitate it also what's Henry gonna do at 31? 32? i bet Patrick Queen will still be good in a couple years this is a classic headline making "we win the offseason" type move that by the end of year 1 will prove to have very little substance in the big picture

They couldn’t resign queen if they wanted to because of what his asking price was. I think it’s a good pick up for the ravens because I’ve been saying this for a while. Your best runner can not be your QB while yeah the RBs they had weren’t bad at all more teams were worried about Lamar taking off than them. Like they haven’t had this good of a RB since mark ingram when he was healthy

Last year he was second in rushing yards behind CMC who was not only the offensive player of the year but people thought he could be MVP. Over the past two seasons, Derrick Henry is leading the league in rushing yards. Derrick Henry has always been the number one option, Now the defense can’t focus on him plus the Oline will be better, the schemes will be better and he will also be running behind a 300 pound offensive lineman but nimble enough to play Fullback. Think about this LJ gave Gus 7-9 touchdowns from within the 5 yard line. Henry had 10 just by himself, that’s an easy 16-20 touchdowns for Henry this year.

Imagine how that will work with a running quarterback who defenses have to account for as well, which means holes will be opened up for Derrick Henry if the right or left tackle try to hunt Lamar!…all the while Derrick Henry has 1,000 rushing seasons 5 straight years with straight dropback quarterbacks…now IMAGINE, what Henry would get with a quarterback who runs🤔!…

Not only that, he literally played on the team that most of the time the option was to give the ball to Derrick Henry. Now you are on a team where you don't know what they're going to do. The Titans unfortunately got into a situation where they had an incompetent quarterback, and a predictable running game. Now you've got potential threats and you don't know which threat you're going to have to deal with.

First year with Monkin and Lamar they won the north, got #1 seed, and made it to the AFC championship game. They lost that by a td, but they also probably learned from that experience as teams and people often do. Plus they add Henry, come on guys the Ravens entire organization are not just static thinkers, they are dynamic and will prove that again this year. For me, I paid my season tickets today and can't wait to be there to watch them once again dominate most games and win a lot more. Are they perfect no, but do they have a shot, you bet they do and better than 95% of the league and on par with the other 5%. I will take that over the overhyped Burrow, the lost again Bowns and the Wilson and Queen show. KC will be there but they better be a lot better than last year cause with Henry and Lamar, the Ravens will be a lot better.

😂😂 nice try Allen has 102 turnovers for his career and 60 in the last 3 years. He also has had the better weapons on his team from a offensive standpoint

@@trueprophets4704 Those are career stats which are impacted by his first 2 years where he wasn’t as good. We now have a 4 year sample size of Allen being the better QB and more reliable playoff performer. His total TD to turnover ratio is better than Lamar’s in that time span.
