I have had many of conditions associated with this dermatomyositis for 30+ years and no positive diagnosis. Lots of steroids creams many making me worse. I have flare ups with heat, physical chores, mobility. Thank you. I will now contact my doctor. I have several autoimmune conditions including hemochromatosis. Have been taking photos for 10 years+ of flare ups. Now I know I am not 'the walking well' as GP told me some years ago. Thank you

It's an autoimmune disease against muscle tissue with some skin manifestations as well. Treatment is usually to avoid too much direct sunlight, steroids, and immunosuppressants. Hope this helps!
