    Thank you for this information and for showing a demonstration as well. Looks like it really does a nice job of removing all the peach fuzz. If it also removes dead skin I would be interested for that purpose, to give more of a brighter look (although the Maelove serum seems to be doing a good job for that). Thanks Lisa 😊

    I had a look at this after your last video and the product sounds perfect for me and my facial hair issue. When I saw that I would need to order replacement razors regularly a,omg with the cleanser and moisturiser, it was all too hard. I don’t like any devices that require additional purchases. I live in Australia and I’m nervous about there being shipping restrictions with the razors. Thanks for the review, I was looking forward to it and the info was great.

  • @lisajmakeup

    @lisajmakeup

    6 жыл бұрын

    Yes! You do have to get replacement razors! The cleanser and moisturizer don’t need to replaced as often. The razors need to be replaced because they gather up hair and dead skin cells and you don’t want to use them again on your face!

    I started getting dermaplaning about 6 months ago every 4 weeks along with a peel/facial and it runs around $175. I feel like I could get the planing done every 2 weeks though as I’m smack in the middle of menopause. I found this on amazon for the same price so I’m excited to try it when I get it. I decided to make the plunge and buy this, but Nordstrom has sold out. I ended up getting it at Ulta.com. I had quite a bit of Ultamate Rewards to use towards it so I still got it at a great price and this purchase adds even more to my rewards. I'm diamond status so I get extra rewards. Anyway, I will let you know how it does after I use it. Blessings to you and your family!!

    Thank you for the review! Just received and used mine last night and I'm really happy with the ease of use and results! Definitely more effective than the Final Touch which I tried out. I'm sure skin care products may work more effectively after removing the dead skin cells and peach fuzz. Makeup glides on smoothly and my skin feels and looks more radiant. So happy this was one of your Nordstrom's picks!

    Mine is on the way! I'll be curious if you think just once a month is enough. I was thinking I would need to do it once a week. I was asking my doctor what she thought about it and she said the exfoliating was good for removing precancerous cells from your skin! Who knew? I thought I was just being vain, lol!

    Hey there! I believe they recommend once every week-2 weeks, but it also depends on your hair regrowth and comfort levels with it. I think it honestly just depends on how you feel after you try it the first time and get a good sense of how long you want to wait between uses. I hope that makes sense!! :)

    Hi @dermaflash I just bought one of these a couple months back and I'm trying to figure out the difference between it and the smaller little mustache hair trimmers you get from cvs? The Derma flash obviously has a larger blade which allows me to shave more face surface at one time but I can't really tell of the DF blade is getting closer to my face or not? When I hold and use the DF It literally feels like the $10 one. Its light weight and the technology seems very much the same as my little cheaper smaller mustache trimmer. Could you explain the differences between Derma flashes blade technology versus something like the $3.99 CNAIER trimmer?

    I got this recently. I usually “shave” my peach fuzz using a small electric razor from Walmart which is meant for the same purpose around the nose & mustache area. Honestly I cannot tell a difference between it and the dermaflash. It’s really just shaving your face. The only difference is that the dermaflash is larger so it’s quicker. But honestly I saw no difference in my skin. Peach fuzz gone. Ok, now what?

I do get rid of the peach fuzz but with the dermaplaning razors and I also use the device I pd about 20 bucks for that has a battery, lights up and it does a pretty good job and (I can't think of the name of the device), lol. Is'nt there huge similarities in the technique I've grown accustomed to? Thanks for sharing, I will see you next time...Ly!!! xoxo

    Hi Bonnie! I know they recommend it, as it’s specifically formulated to go with the dermaflash. I would maybe try a test patch with the products or go to a retailer and try them out to see in advance! You do need a good moisturizer after, as it will dry you out a bit!

    Maria Corey I had the same concerns & asked my doctor. She said there are medical conditions (ex. elevated testosterone levels, etc) that cause facial hair to become thicker & coarser. Facial hair is different & typically softer/finer. Just like getting routine haircuts doesn’t change the thickness/texture of hair, neither will facial hair changes take place because you remove it. The follicles producing the facial hairs don’t change what they produce. There are exceptions (ex. women with black facial stubble) but that is probably due to an underlying medical condition, not shaving.

    Maria Corey - the only difference would be that the naturally tapered end of the hairs will be blunt because they are being cut. Shaving of any kind does not affect the hair follicles, and so it does not affect hair growth. The bluntness of the hairs could give a different look, though. This product is meant to remove peach fuzz (vellus hair), and those hairs are so fine that I don’t notice any difference whatsoever. I have used the first version of this product for about two years, and my hair grows very quickly everywhere I have hair. I did laser hair removal in my bikini area decades ago when it first came out because a wax barely lasted even a week on me (yes, TMI, but I want to get the point across that I am someone who definitely can relate to these issues). My hair just grows quickly. This product did not change that one way or another. My hair grows at the pace it grows and has always grown. I do need to use this product at least every two weeks, but you don’t have to use the cleanser or cream that come with it. I never have, and I have very sensitive skin. I cleanse with my CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser and use La Mer after (I’m sure any strong moisturizer that your skin likes would work, but those are the product I have personal experience with). I do use the moisturizer this product comes with under my arms after shaving and like it for that. Anyway, you can always Google shaving your legs and hair growth, find reputable sites, and read about how shaving does not make the hair grow faster but can give that appearance because of the blunt ends. Again, vellus hair is fine enough that you shouldn’t be able to tell a difference, but my vellus hair is light colored despite the rest of my hair being dark. Some of the hairs above my upper lip are a bit darker!but that has not been an issue. I tweeze any dark, more coarse hairs that have shown up around my jawline with age. This product is not meant to help with those.

    Did you say that when you had this procedure done in the office, that they shaved your forehead too? Did you shave your forehead with this device? Always have wondered about doing it there. Shaving is the best thing to happen for we older gals since it's no fun to add hair on to the already growing list of lines, pores, and texture! :/ xoxo

    It does vibrate, it uses a sonic vibration technique. It’s different than a regular razor because you’re not actually shaving your face, it helps exfoliate the top layer of skin and removes your dead skin cells and also helps to remove peach fuzz.

    @@lauraKe85 I am a licensed esthetician and I can tell you there was a study done disproving that shaving will cause hair to grow back darker or thicker or even faster. This is because unlike waxing and or tweezing, shaving DOES NOT effect the hair follicle. Often the way a razor blunt cuts the hair close to the skin it may give the appearance it’s darker or thicker but it’s physically impossible. Hope this answer helps! 😄
