Hey Everyone!!
I was super nervous to put up a video of just my bare ass face! lol! I think there is something that happens to people who has ever suffered with ance. There's this lingering notion we can't ever show our face in fear of judgement, but what better way to face your fears than to JUST DO IT! :)
XOXO

Disclaimer: I should have consulted with my doctor before doing this at home. I didn't know it would have caused the problems it did. It was MY FAULT. My advice is, if you've had ANY inflammation or bacteria type breakouts, DO NOT do this at home. I've had lupus for about 24 years and I've always had rosy cheeks, but no breakouts. After doing this at home, my rash has spread to the rest of my face and there are bumps everywhere. I'm being treated for rosacea. The process caused an inflammatory response with some spouts of acne. I didn't know my skin would react so dramatically because I've NEVER had any skin issues growing up. Unfortunately now I have immunosuppressant creams and antibiotics ointments to apply my face daily! Please please please be careful! Do your research. I should have have taken more care myself. And if you're a little hairy, live with it. Again, this was my doing! I just wanted to share my experience so people wouldn't make the mistakes I did.

I have rosacea too. The first few times I shaved my face I had no issues. Around the fifth time, I broke out really bad. I tried doing it again after a while but it's irritating my skin. I'm going to go to a dermatologist from now on instead.

Your skin is just beautiful! Thanks for the tips. After endometrial cancer caused me to have to have a complete hysterectomy in my late 30's my facial hair got pretty bad. I mean, it was noticeable before because I have very pale skin and dark hair and some hormone issues, but this was "freak show" quality. So I was spending all my time plucking, and it was making me crazy. Finally I decided to try shaving. I felt like a man, like a freak and I cried before shaving. But as soon as I was done, I saw my face without all those hairs and I hadn't felt so feminine for a very long time! I am excited to try this for the baby hairs and the exfoliating!

My mother was doing this as long as I remember. She was Okinawan and born in 1926 and it was part of her skin care. Washed her face with dove soap rigorously twice a day and used Ponds cold cream. It may be genetics also but was always complemented on her skin. This "dermaplaning "has been around for decades in Okinawa.

HI, it’s not actually blackheads, it is called sebaceous filaments which is often confused with blackheads. Sebaceous filament is a thin, hair-like structure that lines the inside of the pore and helps sebum travel to the skin’s surface! Also, you can see it for yourself by using a nose strips and you will see it!

You are a delight. I'm old and we didn't have skin care when I was growing up. I never could use a brow pencil. My brows were dark and unruly. I tweezed the loose ones underneath and between. I only found one person who was so great my face looked different. They brought out an electric version of this about fifteen years ago for mustaches. I used it on my cheeks the way you do. So much "peach fuzz" came off it was silly. My foundation went on better. I used it above my brows. I have light brown hair and simply had hair and no one talked except for the girls who bleached their upper lip. But since I couldn't tweeze and I didn't need more color shaving above the brow made it clean looking and I didn't get stubbles. It was easy to run between the brows. I'm glad there's a simple one and it's by Ardell. I am not a fan of professional micro-planing. The skin is an issue they don't discuss. I have thin skin. They e been forgotten but glycolic acid peels at the dermatologist leave that glow you loose with age and increase skin cell growth. This is great. I'm in my 60s and my hair started thinning at the hair line in my 50s. Now it's also thinning. Unfortunately that area doesn't react to sitting with a laser cap on. I'm using Rogaine which takes forever to get going and has to be kept up. Hair has grown in front of my ears. Maybe I was sloppy in application. Also it's appeared at the temples. I'm doing this. With light skin and dark hair why not laser it off?

I have hairy sideburns and dealt with a lot of name calling when I was younger.. I tried waxing, threading, hair removal cream, and they all irritated my skin very badly. I've always been embarrassed that I shave my face but now I'm glad to know I'm not alone! I really appreciate this video, your advice and attitude. Just subscribed! Xoxo

I actually do this same thing. I found the same blades. I'm so glad to know other people do this too. I do think it is important to use a new blade each time. I've found if the blade gets dull it will want to pull the hair out and not cut it off. For me when this happens, I get little tiny pimples. Another reason cleansing is so important! Great Video!

I realize you did this video almost 2 years ago, but I have just decided to research shaving or hydroplaning the peach fuzz on my face. When I went through puberty many years ago, I had bad skin AND a dark-haired mustache. It was horrible to have a mustache! Over the years I finally ended up using Poetic wax. I still love waxing because Poetic Wax is spread over whatever area you choose. Once it cools, you just rip it off. No muslin cloths necessary. You just flip the wax up a tiny bit at an end, then rip the wax off. This wax is blue and it's easy to see the hairs by holding it up to a light. Recently I bought 2 new foundations and I know if I have this peach fuzz removed, it will look so much better. On my chin I now get stiff white whiskers that drive me nuts so I wax my chin or sometimes I tweeze them. Tweezing is just so time consuming. You're an absolutely beautiful woman, and your courage is inspiring. I think I will shave my peach fuzz off this weekend. Today is Thursday, April 2018. Over the years, I have had a dear friend point out my peach fuzz, and my 17 year young son points it out often because he's got the dark hair I had in my face when I was his age. My fuzz is blonde, the whiskers on my chin are white, and what hairs I have above my top lip, come in black. I also have black eyebrows. It's time for me to get rid of my fuzz...I was using my 55 years as the excuse to not shave. I was telling myself, you've had peach fuzz this long so why bother now? WELL, I think I will be really pretty and will get compliments because this Mally foundation will show even better with my peach fuzz gone. Thanks so much for your video!! Your courage, kindness and your little jokes have inspired me to take the plunge! ! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

OMG - you are so cute! This is awesome and thank you for the informatiion filled and non-judgemental video. Normally I will literally tweeze every single hair (it takes over an hour to get it all, or at least the majority of the hairs - which means the darker ones). So I think I will try it. It would be a relief to find another method that is not so tedious.

I loved this video! Clear, easy instructions! I tend to have sensitive skin, so while shaving I did start to notice some redness and possible razor burn. Had nothing to do with the procedure or your recommendations. Next time I try this my skin will HOPEFULLY not get as red. ❤️ I was able to find the same razors as you from target! Thanks! So helpful as I’ve been considering doing this treatment for months now because like so many otger women struggle with it and I commend them for the bravery to fully disclose how nearly all women by middle age, grow back all the velos hair that fell off in utero. I actually went to see the doctor because I was starting to feel like a teen boy, with a thick strawberry-blonde fuzz starting to form a full beard (in the sunlight YIKES!) And eeeew but just likeyou said, hormones are major and I was given a Rx, but the possible side effects aren’t risks i’m willing to take, so I will give this a go. Thank you for giving me the courage I jneeded . & mostly due to your genuineness and.lovely smile TRULY!
