Derivative of Sine and Cosine 3 Examples 4k

I introduce the derivative rules for sine and cosine. We then compare the graphs of the functions and their derivatives to better understand the relationship between the functions.
Example 1 and 2 finding derivatives at 10:29 and 11:31
Example 3 finding points where there is a horizontal asymptote 13:50
Check out www.ProfRobBob.com, there you will find my lessons organized by chapters within each subject.

Mr. Tarrou I respect your dedication to continue uploading videos. I remember when I was in middle school and referenced your videos. Now I just started my first full time position after graduating with a degree in aerospace engineering 😂 You are a legend, keep doing what your doing 👍

Dude, I made it all the way through college calculus 1 and 2 without knowing why the derivative of cos(x) is -sin(x). Great explanation!

Haven't see this dude in a while, hair got longer but still quirky and very informative the way a math teacher should be. Not like a clandestine operation which most do. Math is actually fun.

will u prove that the derivative of sin is cosine? plz! i don't hate t, i write it with a curve at the end of t so that i don't confuse it with the + sign......

Tell me something; what the hell is the point of this? What purpose does this serve other than to drive us non-math people insane?

Study of sound waves, sine.. cosine... polar curves, plays a major role in sound engineering. Think of microphones, earing aids, speakers, etc... items not everyone engineers but items we all benefit from evryday.
