Great video, thanks! This was my first day with Rail Operations Group, can't believe it was five years ago! I belatedly realised that the Peak was vacuum-braked only, I was relieved when the exhausters kicked in when I selected 'Vac Pass', it's not a given these days that the exhausters will work on a mainline-registered heritage loco! A great day that ended in the pub, trebles all round! 😁

This is why peak rail needs more than just 1 loco to run the passenger trains, because if D8 broke down, like what happened at this time, there isn’t another loco to run the trains.

Bloody great video Richard with super sounds coming from them 20s which I have not filmed in that livery.
