Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
On the evening of the 27-6-1988 the last three wagons of the Penallta-Aberthaw MGR became derailed just outside Ystrad Mynach station as it left the Penallta branch. 37264 was dispatched from Cardiff Canton TMD with the Canton Breakdown train, on arrival 264 was used to drag one of the wagons clear of the derailment before it was stabled in the siding at YM south jcn until the last service train from Cardiff had run. Rerailing was to take place later that night!

brilliant and little did you know in 1988 that you where making a history video. a piece of time travel back to the 80s.
What a gem of a video Justin...superb stuff, reminds me of an incident I saw of a 37 that derailed coming off the Penallta Branch and ended up on the road bridge...1968....Bob
Nice vid. Impressive that BR still maintained some passenger service past the derailment - don't think we would do that these days. Stu
Brilliant stuff! 5.43sec LOL!! Best work yet! Longer vid next time please!!
Super filming !! -Ian 👍👍
But the line is open and there is no one trying to make a crime scene... excellent stuff and a proper railway at work.
