Dequincy Railroad Museum: Featuring Canadian Pacific 2816

While chasing Canadian Pacific 2816 out of Shreveport Louisiana, we stopped at the Dequincy Railroad Museum in the namesake town. On display in a shed beside the station is Southern Pacific 124, a 0-6-0 switcher built by Baldwin in 1913, as well as an ATSF Pullman Coach, and a pair of cabooses from the Missouri Pacific, and Cotton Belt railroads.
While the museum had a cool collection of rolling stock the centerpiece of the museum and the city as a whole is the 1923 station building. This station is a perfect example of mission revival architecture and is on the National Register Of Historic Places. The station made a pretty picture for the photographers as 2816 rolled through. A nice little sneak peek into what's to come.
