Retired Arlington County VA Sheriff's Office Deputy Decorso Ware was the first person to openly sound the alarm over the candidacy of Jose Quiroz as Sheriff.
In this interview, he talks about the issues highlighted in his November 2022 letter to Wanda Younger of Wanda for Sheriff referencing Quiroz's lack of sensitivity, lack of compassion, deriliction of duty, professional misconduct, and lying during an internal investigation of Acting Sheriff Jose Quiroz.
Voters in Arlington, Virginia need to hear the truth about their Acting Sheriff from credible sources. These issues have directly led to about our Sheriff Agency and the issues which dismal morale, loss of detainee life and lack of ability to retain Deputies in the Agency.
This is not about acrimony. It is about facts. The Sheriff's Office has for decades been able to keep detainee deaths, multimillion dollar wrongful death settlements, lawsuits for ADA (Disability Act) violations secret from local reporters and the public.
Wanda is now highlighting these truths - while simultaneously offering cognizant, concrete solution sets to address deep-rooted issues in this department.
There is much at stake in this election and the soundbites, buzzwords, and puffery pieces of "news" coming from the PIO working on the taxpayer's dollar to help Jose Quiroz keep these facts at bay fail, to address serious issues for Arlingtonians nor lead to any progress in Transparency or Accountability.
