Best thing is after the Klendathu disaster the Federation in the book literally uses gas as a counter to the bug holes, a way for a squad to quickly neutralise a bug hole without having to clear it or set up a defensive line to contain emerging arachnids It was very effective

5:30 the accent of the Star Wars announcer is a formal Received Pronunciation English, the sort you'd associate with an Oxfordshire Headmaster or a WW1 Army General, which I suppose is why it was chosen as a large amount of Hollywood villains are English. Now, we know it was a Ukrainian missile. I know Poland doesn't blame the Ukrainians, that's why it didn't age well. It went from 'kill all Russians' to 'kill all Ukrainians', which is of course ironic given Poland's support throughout the invasion. Okay, here's a thought. Reinforcements come down in waves. You have 1 minute between waves to call down dropships, and with the dropship recharge mechanic, you may have to choose who to call in and who to reinforce. Might have to only allow 1 squad to reenforce at a time per dropship. Or have something like 10-15 troops per ship. Some way to balance it out.

If you're looking for miniatures that fit the troopers on the cheap, check out the "Ooh Rahs" by atlantic wargame. It may be the federation we have at home, but we have it!

Honestly, this game needs to make it so you can play AS the Bugs, even if it does end up being similar to the Zerg in StarCraft, you can't exactly help but think of the amount of fun it would be to play as the horde for once.

The bugs probably utilize some sort of pheromonal based communication system. There should be an upgrade or alternative weapon that basically uses fake-pheromone bombs to misdirect the bugs, at least temporarily.

Starship Trooper science facilities have the same track record as Weyland Utani.

The game should honestly have a custom survival mode that lets you pick which bugs can show up and how many bugs should show up. Imagine being able to play against waves of tankers, or unending hordes of Warrior and Tiger bugs, or even just being able to say "no scorpion bugs"

I wish this had a coop mode and Horde holdout mode.

It remind me. In Starship troopers book Mobile Infantry use special nerve gas to disable bugs but gas have no effect on soldiers. They use it against bug nests because cleaning with MI was very costly... Well to battle of Planet P every MI clearing of bug nest was complete massacre.
