Depeche Mode - Fly on the Windscreen - Final Music Video
Музыка
I thought it would go with an apocalyptic kinda thing,as "Death is everywhere" does not bring to mind roses and whipped cream.Plus the song is from the mid eighties when this sort of thing was certainly on the cards.
I shot all the video myself, and combined it with a few royalty-free images as set extensions, using adobe after effects,I liked the idea of having real buildings in the foreground, and this is a first attempt using AF.
I do not own any rights to the song, which is performed by the GREAT Depeche Mode, and was released on Mute records in 1986,featuring on,in my opinion, the best DM album "Black Celebration" and was also released a few months earlier on the B side to "It's called a heart" although that was a different version...This is the album version.

Hair in the back of my neck always seems to stand up when watching the video of a live stadium performance of "Never let me down again!" & Dave starts the arms side to side waving with thousands in attendance! Btw, I am 51 as well. 🫡✌🏽

RIP Fletch. Thanks for all of the great memories!
R.I.P. Andy Fletcher 🙏
I've literally grown up with Depeche since my teens when my little immature brain was forming and moulding to my environment and my awareness. They defiantly help form my adult outlook and personality, maybe just a wee bit!

It was the first album I heard when I was 15 in 1987. The sound blew me away. It was something I've never had heard before. It is the best album for me until today. Also because of Alan Wilder.

Best pick up lines ever. Death is everywhere, so let’s get it on.

My older brother was a fan from the early 80s, so early DM was always on at home. When Music for the Masses was released I was 15 and it was one of the first albums I bought to listen to myself. Violator was the game changer for me, and to this day is my favourite DM album.
I was 15 and watched them live in Gothenburg (Sweden) in apr 1986… loved them since then… RIP Andy Fletcher! Synthare for ever :)

The first time I heard this song(this version, in particular), was on a late night radio program, on our local college public radio station. The program was called, "Static In Stereo", and it ran in the late 80's. The first time I heard this, I fell in love with it. I still love it.

Miami Vice In The 80's Is My To Go Police Show Hands Down. 🔥🔥🔥 The Actors For Miami Vice In The 80's Were Awesome. If Miami Vice Was Ever To Get A Reboot As A Television Series It Will Be Hard To Copy The Legendary 80's Version. Not The Same As The 80's Were. Miami Florida Now In 2021 Is Different From The 80's Decade.

I wish this song was released in the U.S. when it came out. Millions of people who were into a variety of musical genres would have benefited from it. The hip hop kids would like the beat. The Goths would like the lyrics. Classical fans would appreciate the orchestration. Underground dance clubs in big cities would have this one playing every night.

The hours slipping by....... tonight.
I love this phucking song so much!!
They sung this at their concert I was at in 1986. Unappreciated masterpiece.
I love it!so much! Listen to it every week, sometimes twice a week…it remembers me to some pain, to something banned, but something who wants to be part of my life…thank you 🙏🏻💝
To jest po prostu niesamowite, że pod płaszczykiem takiej z pozoru wesołej melodii udało się przemycić dość makabryczny tekst. Co mogę jeszcze dodać, po prostu mistrzostwo
They were lean, arty and really quite indie sounding in those days. I'm afraid to say that I lost interest in their music quite a lot after Alan Wilder left. He took some of that magic with him. Violator was the last album I bought.
I really love this great song of DM. Thanks for sharing with us your video, really well done!

Miami Vice, one of the best episodes ever, El Viejo! And what a wicked video. It equally fits the song as much as the Miami Vice scene it was used in.
I remember when it was released and we were all dancing in the clubs and most of my friends were still alive and everyone was wearing black

We've lost a lot of very good people to various plagues. Mostly because of government evils (suppression of information, failure to respond with research, etc.) But the music was great, and I'm glad YOU are still here.
It's something about music devastation, you need to be a true creative to make it rise again😉
NIce. From the same album (Black Celebration, Depeche Mode, 1986) I made a music film with the song Stripped (YT-acct adjomusic). I used footage that I made in New York City.
Had seen a dead squashed fly on the fridge glass in a shop yesterday. When all normal people think some of these "oh shit, it's awful", I've been playing in my head : "DEATH IS EVERYWHERE THERE ARE FLIES ON THE WINDSCREEN FOR A START REMINDING US WE COULD BE TORN APART TONIIIIGHT " Left there, turned on the track and thought "After all this time? Always..."
Questa canzone mi ricorda quando ero giovane che nostalgia del passato
Well Death is everywhere but the song is not about Death, just the knowledge of it. I think it's about your other half, your kids, your folks, everything you can have torn away. Come here, kiss me...now. Says it all.

Me too!! When I was still in my youth they put out "Behind The Wheel" and I remembered other tracks like "Everything Counts" etc and thought to myself "hmm yeah I like the kind of alternative sound of that lot." Spied a copy of "It's Called A Heart" on 7-inch on my local record shop's bargain section, snapped it up and upon getting home and putting on the b-side, that was it... hooked on DM for life. This song was just such a breath of fresh air, confronting the darker side of life which much of the rest of the bubblegum pop out there largely seemed to blissfully ignore. Long live the Mode!
