Those unexpected tonal journeys he takes with his voice, the classic sounding synth, they really have continued to create quality. I wonder if radiohead admits openly, how inspired by Depeche they are. I love both, but recognize which came first.

I like a lot what you wrote about your soul friendship with 'the brothers you never knew', I have always felt something similar but called them a bit differently ' my playground friends '. When I was 13 I heard 'Somebody' and I locked up that song in my heart, thinking that it was written only for me. I am 48 and I still think and belive it was written only for me, please do not tell me that Im wrong.

Same here. I thought I had outgrown them and grown too cynical but I have surprised myself. So have they- they have matured beautifully. Depeche Mode. I am in the states. I have been a fan of your music since 83. I was there almost from the start. I have seen you play live many upon many a time. Your music has really pulled me through some tough times in my life. I will be honest, I greatly miss Alan's influence, but Delta Machine for me was one of the band's best albums since Violator. Delta Machine oozes with personality and atmosphere. Martin, Dave and Andy. Thank for blessing the world with your music.

Agreed, Alan Wilder was the most significant and underestimated musician, composer with classic education carrying weight of such a reach arrangements, multilayed instruments and sound engineering assistance during the studio sessions. Can't despite the fact he was a hard worker and after all these years, unfair contribution and jealousy of Andrew Fletcher caused irrational rejection Alan Wilder from the band. Big shame.....so guys don't forgot about great contribution of Alan Wilder.

So lucky to have seen them 2 weeks ago. I’m 25 years old and I’ve been listening to them for the past 10 years - never thought I would’ve been able to see them! I feel so blessed

I was 11-12 yrs old when introduced to Depeche Mode. Ever since then there has never been any question on who my #1 band was. It was hard losing Alan Wilder but this is devastating to have lost Andy. He will be missed by the world and rest in piece my friend. You will always be part of life here on earth❤️😔

When I was a kid all I wanted to do was to be their drummer, now I'm a young kid at 56yrs and I still want to be their drummer, Been drumming for a long time now and feel their music in my blood. There will never be another DM.

OMG, I love this song. I relate it to a time period when I battled trying to get a hold of myself, while I was battling an addiction. I was lost and knew that that' s not where I wanted to be. I knew I was better than what I had become. I fought for my life against all odds and found someone who I knew existed all along, Me. Many people take life for granted and are lucky that all the factors of life add up to a satisfying life. Some of us are broken from the start and don't even know it at times. I refuse to let myself fall that far again. I will be here to catch myself before I happen to fall.

Привет. Зря не слушаете. Что Мартин, что Дэйв и Флэтч слушают так много разной музыки. У них есть свои фавориты, которые оказали большое влияние на их стиль и музыку в целом. Если бы они были зациклены на ком-то (чём-то) одном, то мы бы не услышали Depeche, в том виде, в котором знаем и любим. Их музыка - очень разнобразный и собирательный образ.

@@a.m.1425 Доброго дня, я работаю в оркестре, эстраду не воспринимаю, только Депеш Мод, не слушаю музыку которая меня не раскрывает, не вдохновляет, с Депешами другая обстановка - люблю сумрачную музыку со светом в конце... так же не слушаю Малера - безнадежная, депресивная музыка, в отличие от Вагнера, Брукнера и Чайковского
