I know this was a dark time for Martin, Dave and Fletch due to them struggling with alcoholism, heroin addiction and severe depression respectively, I'm glad they all got out of the dark hole they were in and are still here.

Alan is brilliant and sensitive. He understood that the powerful arrangement would drown out Martin... in this state. I think he's singing along. Of course, there are very cool versions. There's one where Dave plays drums.

I think he was singing a little bit drunk. He was feeling dizzy and his voice sounded so much different. That’s why he couldn’t hit those high notes of the song 😢

Martin, at that time has a drinking problem and this concert happening along the course of a painful divorce. David on the other hand, bourgeoning drug habit/abuse and a failing marriage. Alan unappreciated, just about had it and walked out some months after. Not a good time period for DM.

gabriel lazo No muy buena? canta perfecto, fue una mala época en las relaciones internas de la banda pero la mejor época en cuanto a lo musical, por cierto, yo ví esa canción en vivo porque tuve la suerte de asistir al Exotic Tour en Chile y también tuve la oportunidad de verlos en su segunda visita, déjame decirte que la diferencia sónica es "ABISMAL" ... que bueno que sobrevivan aún, pero que lamentable que sin buenos frutos, yo espero que se disuelvan y que Alan Wilder produzca un disco en solitario de Dave Gahan.

gabriel lazo jajaja en los pasos 1:42 jajajajaja, bueno, es sabido que en esos días las fiestas luego de cada show eran destructivas, no me habia fijado en eso y es verdad, parece que está aún con una resaca del demonio, yo no sé como lograba sacar una buena voz a pesar de todo jajajaja

Saw them live in Krakow on 7 Feb - they are so polished and silk now. I’ve been a fan since 1983. Still one of the best unique bands ever. They have class. Pure poetry.

You're smoking crack. He went higher on the end to emphasize the story/narrative also it's live. Musicians don't like to 100% perform EXACTLY what they did on the album. It can ruin their feel for a song. I thought it was fucking fantastic. Beautiful way he carried it. If anything criticise him being winded on the second chorus but that isn't shit either because he's fucking brilliant and it's fucking Rock and roll. Go shut the fuck up, please.
