no spacer indeed on the magnetic big capstan as mentioned on the exploded diagram in the service manual. for the other (small) capstan there is a spacer.

Hi, you dont need spacer in direct driver motors, the magnet pull them into coil side so capstan dont even touch the chasse. all direct drives doest have spacer as simply unlike belt drives the capstan is not pushed foward but backward into coil.
