Denzel is known to help actors with hard work ethic and visceral talent. Talent is wasted without work ethic. Denzel knows that and champions those who do. Austin would always try to be the first at the theatre before Denzel, would help others with their lines, would even help with backstage. Austin is not poor boy he was already in the industry. Help is when you help someone who's really talented struggling to get into the industry while working 10 to 10 to pay bills at the same time. Rich always help rich that's industry is full of untalented people. Austin on the other hand did a good job but I see no resembles with Elvis only make up n outfits.

I’m so glad he’s singing. One problem I’ve had with biopic movies with famous singers is some are just lip-singing to their voices. Nobody is gonna sound exactly like the singer. Coal Miner’s Daughter is the standard for these kind of movies.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Elvis movie. I adore Elvis and I was a bit sceptical and I really did not want to be disappointed. Is the movie perfect...no? but considering Baz style which I usually do not like, I think he did a great job and Austin had maybe the greatest shoes to fill and did a magnificent job. I believe he should be easily a favourite to win the Oscar for best actor.

For him getting to perform material that he never had....that was a test of how Versatile can he become.... can he learn new material without much time to prepare He must have passed that test soo good n got the job. The species that survives is the one that is able best to adapt n adjust to changing environment n that is wat Baz wanted to find out.

I think Austin either hadn't lost the elvis voice or that is just his voice. Either way it's pretty good, gives me young depp vibes.

They left out of the movie where Elvis had a boxing robe made for Muhammad Ali and how Elvis hid away at Ali's Deer Lake training camp for a few days just to rest and get away from press n everything. And when Elvis would rent out a theatre so that him and James Brown could watch a movie together with friends. Muhammad Ali and James Brown should have been one of the highlights of ANY Elvis movie and documentary.

That was an unexpected surprise on the turn of events, especially the hiring. The film was amazing though with Butler catching the King's rhythmic moves. It reminded me of "Moulin Rouge" & "The Great Gatzby" with a sprinkle of "Nightmare Alley" (no suspense in there naturally).

Austin Butler is so well-spoken. What an interesting story he told of all he went through to audition for this part. Sounds like Baz put him through the ringer!
