Clearly a case of guy who hadnt properly trained for a while, while trying to sort out how to leave Cuba and then settle into a whole different system, while poorly paired with a very decent, strong opponent for his debut, plus a case of bad luck with a very early kd. Ramirez's body looks like he hasnt stepped in a gym in a while. And by TR's own admission, he was signed after Stevenson's demand, so he is not going to get any consideration from TR, as is always the case in TR with Cuban fighters, they are mostly signed to keep them idle and away from the cash cows, e.g. Rigondeaux. This is basically a televised sparring session gone bad, and people who really know boxing will see that he is a great fighter with incredible ring generalship. Give him time to recover his shape, and he will be a force around the 126 division.

@Noé Rodriguez He was suspended by the Cuban government a while back. That means not being able to set foot on a gym, literally. And later he had to escape to Mexico and cross the border. I'm sure you'd understand he wasnt training in the Arizona desert.

@Noé Rodriguez If Marquez beat Casamayor, good for him. Marquez is one of my favorite fighters of all time. Morales, Barrera, Tapia, all great fighters. As far as Ramirez goes, which is the guy in this video, I can tell you for a fact that he is out of shape here and looking nothing like his true self. It seems to me, in any case, that you are very ignorant of what the process is for a Cuban fighter to defect and turn pro.

Nhay mucha diferencia,los golpes son los mismo,con el mismo nombre y todo(sarcasmo)lo unico que varia es en la preparacion para el cardio y pequenas cosa que en el amateur no son permitidas aqui si.En esta pelea Ramirez viene fresco de una experiencia amateur ,una supuesta revancha ahora Ramirez lo mata d seguro 100 % y lo invito a ver lo posterior de su carrera.saludos.

Looks like 2 time Gold Medalist Ramirez let the knockdown rattle him. When he finally let his hands go at the end of the 4th round he appeared to be in a different class. Ramirez needs to understand that he can't rest on past accomplishments - needs to focus on the right things every fight..... The rematch later this week will be interesting......

Yes exactly. And Ramirez didn't have time to adjust due to there only being 4 rounds. If this was 10 or even 8 rounds I believe Ramirez would have won.

The difference is, Lomachenko was in a 12 round title bout with a significantly larger former champ who fouled all throughout the fight. Not a 4 rounder against a complete nobody.

Espero que a este muchacho no le dañen su carrera como se lo danaron a muchos boxeadores , como el mismo gamboa , a fernando vargas frente a trinidad, miren a lomachenko como en su segunda pelea le soltaron a siri salidos , y la gente salio hablando basuras que no servia. Como pueden juzgar a una persona por una pelea. Como van hacer un debut con solo 4 round de boxeo, y quien es ese entrenador que no lo conoce nadie en miami. Ya por lo menos al parecer enderezó algo su camino. Ese ni en sueños es mejor que ramírez, que se lo traigan de vuelta a ver ahora como sale.
