For future human bruises: use Arnica in creme or clear ointment. Does not stain. Source: wild plant called Arnica Montana Apply a thin coat to bruise, rub it in. May feel a slight tingle for a short time. As if skin was vigorously rubbed. Apply 2 x a day . How it works: after brusing, strains or sprains, makes clothes less sticky and thus lessens pain and discoloration. I have suggested it to many friends. They all were amazing how well it helped. Greatly speeds time of healing of bruise, by about 1/2. Do not use orally. Use it once, your medicine cabinet will never be without it!

Kimberly is a true horsewoman. Gets kicked and shrugs it off. A bruise, so what? Says Kimberly. That new blood analysis machine is really being used well. No surprise. Horse Plus is doing a great job. So glad Horse Plus Vets is back!

I have a scar on my mid-thigh from getting belted by a quarterXdraft named Lady (insert eyeroll here) it swelled and the rainbow of colors that followed was impressive, this was a harder kick than Kimberly was able to jump away from (GREAT reflexes!!) but ice it non-the-less, I did shriek when it happened, we cant have Kimberly hurt! PS @Horse Plus Vets, I want to send some clear face shields for these dentals would you rather have reusable harder plastic that's washable or use until they are junk and toss thinner ones?

Thank you for making the vet videos again. Sorry Kimberly got kicked. If the horse hadn’t been sedated it could definitely have been really bad. Maybe good protocol in the future when doing a back leg radiograph to hold up a front leg unless the horse is lame and unable to stand on 3 legs.

Doesn't Little Foot's incisors look like EOTRH? Looks like receding gums, with grass packed in between teeth. And it could explain an ulcer (root absorption?). In any case, RTG of incisors would be the best diagnostic idea, especially when it's free and available. EOTRH can be very painful, so the horse can be reluctant to eat - depends on the horse. My old mare's doesn't really mind her EOTRH teeth, she nad twice been found with ulcers with pus on the standard dentist exam - ofcourse the teeth with ulcers were removed - but she ate well and was not painful - and she's very reactive to pain, so incomprehensively, this was somehow ok for her...

How often do you check up that far in the mouth of an animal? Plus without sedation do you really think they could have seen it? Think about how painful it would be to have someone doing that to your sore mouth while wide awake. Plus they did find it when doing the dental.
