Thank you Dr. Hale, I have the same machine in my office. However, I do not have the leather stropping wheel. If I may give you one tip, please advise everyone to use safety glasses. Rotating the wheel a little slower may be a good idea if you are not experienced on this sharpener

Thank you for this video! When sharpening manually with the stone, do you use oil?

the manual stones we have and using in our teaching sessions are water slip stones, to they are lubricated with water. If using natural stone like an Arkansas stone you would use light mineral oil.

Thanks for your efforts, but demonstrating the sharpening of a dull instrument would reveal more than this video did.
